Stillers "backstage" if you will...

Postby lloydgreene » Thu Aug 13, 2009 7:02 am

I am just kind of interested. This Big Ben lawsuit has me wondering about the characters on our team throughout the years.

I want to know any interesting stories you guys may have about our Stillers players thru the years that may shock/surprise. Off the field kind of stuff. I heard for example, that andy russell would go to a local bar and hang out after practice with the team, but he would sit pretty much by himself-as he was married- and drink alone until they all left.

And to balance it out, are there any guys who were just extremely positive role models on and off the field? I think that way of Polamalu and thought that way of Big Ben.

Just a curiousity about the team I love... I know it's dirt digging but I can't help it.

I dated a girl who lived in a house formerly owned by Bobby Layne. She took me around and showed me all of the bullet holes in the walls and ceilings from Bobby's wild parties.

THE NIGHT BEFORE THE FIRST SUPERBOWL, JOE GREENE HAD SOME OF THE TEAM AT HIS ROOM FOR RUM & COKE, SAID THERE WAS NO DOUBT THEY WOULD WIN S.B. IX. IT'S NOT REALLY "DIRT", BUT IT'S ALL I CAN RECOLLECT AT THE SPUR OF THE MOMENT.
