Tickets

Postby SoFlSteel777 » Sat Jun 20, 2009 10:46 am

I signed onto ticketmaster this morning at 10. I clicked on the steelers browns game to find tickets and the approx. wait time was 2 minutes. It is now 1045 and im wondering why 2 minutes in ticketmasters world is 45 minutes in mine. Im assuming by now they are all sold out so should I try scalpers outside the games, ebay, stubhub or another route for tickets? Any suggestions appreciated. Thanks! :subngtowl:

I have used stubhub in the past many times and have never had any problems. There are always tickets available also. There is a 10% service charge I think on tickets, but depending on how much you are willing to pay stubhub is an easy way to get tickets.

I tried the ticketmaster route unsuccessfully as well. I've used Ebay to score tix for two games (Gints last year and KC in '06) and have averaged between $150-200 per ticket. People are selling and looking to score tix from the minute you are driving close to the stadium though. For the Bengal game in '99 my brother and I drove around TRS holding two fingers up out the window and a guy walked up and sold us a pair of tix for $100 and they weren't bad seats. Now I'm trying to get tix for a family of four and I like having tix in hand prior to making the 5 hour drive! Depending on how many tix you want it probably wouldn't be hard to get two together for $100 apeice from people trying to shed tix close to the gates. We had to shed a pair of tix for the KC game and nobody was going over $100 apeice to take them off our hands. Good luck and happy hunting.

Thanks for the responses. One way or another Im going to find a way to get to a game this year. I guess my next problem would be hotels. Im only going to stay one night and yet when I looked online the cheapest/nicest hotel I could find is well more than $100. Any suggestions for a decently price nicely kept hotel thats close enough to the stadium so I wont have to pay for parking?

Also, the steelers often release tix Tuesday or Wednesday before home games at face. if you keep checking, you can often find great seats (lower level, corners) for face, like $60 bucks.

My favorite hotels are the Omni and the Renaissance. The Hilton is the closest. None are cheap on game weekends.
