trades
should the steelers consider trading any of the guys that only have one year left on their contract? ie:hampton, parker, foote?
i doubt there is a big market for any of the above or really any of their players, but it would be better to get a pick even if it is mid-rounds than losing them for nothing. not sure what salary cap ramifications would be however.

Re: trades
Guys like Foote & Hampton probably aren't tradeable since they are such scheme-specific players. Face it, FWP is never gonna have the same burst he had 3 yrs ago w/ all the injuries, & he's been had on the cheap for 3 yrs now. He's got his rings & ain't gonna give a hometown di$count - he'll be looking to cash out & the Stillers would be crazy to give a soon-to-be-30 yr old back any dough. I heard he blew off OTA's yesterday so that ain't promising news either. Guys like Ryan Clark & Keisel (REALLY scheme-specific) won't be worth the extra $mack to retain either but some moronic team will pay it (ala Randle-El) since they're champions. I don't even want to think about Ward - a warrior but you KNOW he won't take le$$.
