Say hello to Duke Robinson
http://www.fftoolbox.com/nfl_draft/prof ... ct_ID=1618
All things being equal, he is the most likely first round pick - especially if Kemo wants out of control $.
Duke fits the profile as a physical beast, which Pgh prefers over athletic guys when it comes to the OL. He is massive. But there is concern over if he gets after it enough; can be lazy according to reports.

As much as we would all like big-time size and talent at O-line, how are we going to get him when we pick last in the draft?

Re: Say hello to Duke Robinson
University of Oklahoma OG Duke Robinson said he will participate in all of the drills at the NFL Scouting Combine except for the bench press because he injured his elbow during the National Championship game. He plans to do the bench press at the school's Pro Day.
Robinson said he prefers to play at left guard in the NFL but is willing to play wherever a team asks him to play.

Re: Say hello to Duke Robinson
I would love to say hello to The Duke after he becomes the #1 pick of the world champions.
I just hope he is around at 32. I am aware of the FO's ability to hit-or-miss with OLs with high
picks (hit--Faneca; miss--Jamain Stephens, Tom Ricketts, Kendall Simmons, John Rienstra, ad
nauseum) and the needs at DL and CB, but I can't get excited over Starks as the starting LT and the need to cut the sack total by at least half is apparent.

Re: Say hello to Duke Robinson
He's an OG. It's rare that they go in the first round (Faneca, Simmons are exceptions). And there is a plethora of high grade OTs that will go in the first - a boat load. So it's possible Duke falls all the way to Pgh. If he doesn't, it's possible one of the top OTs fall to us. It's a good draft for teams needing OL help and God knows we need it
Re: Say hello to Duke Robinson
I don't like Robinson all that much. Think he is a bit stiff and over-rated.
The same injury kept Robinson out of the Senior Bowl. He'll lift at the Sooners' Pro Day.
Robinson, by the way, is projected to be drafted in the second round.

Re: Say hello to Duke Robinson
We can get a MUCH better OL than Robinson at 1.32. Mack, Unger, Britton are all superior.
Heck, it's not totally out of the question that we could get one of those 3 at 1.32 and pick up Robinson in the 2nd (although we might have to move up to do so).

I'm not sure I like Duke R. He kind of reminds me of Kemo. He looks like a run blocker more than a pass protector.

Personally I'm not crazy about him either. I just think it's possibly who we end up with, depending on how this all plays out. But regardless, please, f--king front office, spend some higher picks on the OL for the love of God. If two of our top four picks aren't on the OL, I'm gonna drive up to Pgh to smack some ppl in the face (Kidding FBI, don't come knocking on my door)
