Looking good for next year...

Postby blackngoldB » Mon Feb 02, 2009 5:28 am

Getting mendy back and maybe Sweed will learn how to watch the ball into his hands. We did all this with basically no help from #1 and #2 picks from the draft. If they pull together and we can draft a few lineman that know a little about blocking we might be a possible repeat. Looks like I'll be partying for a week then starting to analyze the upcoming class for the draft. Great season everyone!

There are some choices to be made on who to keep and who to start extending. I know for one we have to lock up Big Money. I think Clark only has one year left maybe add a couple to his deal. Santonio will probably start bitching for more cash as well.

I think Mcfadden is up too. Although im probably one of the only ones not impressed with him anymore.

I agree with Uncle Dick one this one. Mcfadden hasn't been the same since his injury. I think he might be going but not sure. I think mendy will be a big asset to the team next year. Can't wait to watch him play. :sucope:

dump kimo, starks, smith, washinton and go sign the best left tackle on the market(jordan gross) to protect bens blindside for the next seven yrs.I know its not the stillers way, but when you have a chance to make a run at the title for the next 5 yrs, you cant wait for a 3-4yr developmental projects.
they can pay someone 700k to backup a big left tackle and whiff on blocks like starks, marvel is damaged goods, , kimo is useless in pass blocking, nates ok, but I think sweed will develop to be at least is good as nate by week 12 next season.(sweed has the tools, he will be ok)

every other positon is secure, besides hartwig your entire oline needs to be upgraded. Sign gross and then maybe a ok lg thats at least better then kimo in pass blocking. Simmons is not great but ok and live with colon till a draft pick takes over his spot.

I think ben has enuff pull now to go in rooneys office and say get me a pro blowl calibre left tackle, he influenced the sweed pick so he mite be able to open rooneys pocket on 1 big offensive linemen with some lobbying.
