Did anyone hear one of the commentators after the AFC championship game applaud the Steelers for "sticking with" the run, even though it was accomplishing nothing?
Sure, I agree you have to still insert a run play to keep the D honest, but why oh why does that usually involve a skinny willie up the middle? If we don't have the personel for some good blocks, then we should work to what strengths we DO have.
How many times has Ward or Miller or even Holmes bailed us out this year on 3rd and longs? Against certain teams, this may be okay, but if you're playing a good D in a close game, that won't cut it. Our own D saved the games in which we were stuggling with that pathetic offensive play-calling.
Say whatever about Arians, but I have not seen HIM adapt at all this year. That being said, the excellence of the rest of the team will cover up Arians shortcomings as a coach. I agree with most here that he's coming back next year win or lose.
