Do you see some of the old Cowher tendencies of taking the foot off the gas once they build up a lead? It seemed that way in the NFC game, the cards got conservative in the second half and allowed Philly to storm back.

The Cardinals are an ordinary football team who minus a few positions have ordinary talent. Without Fitzgerald, they are 7-9 team in a crappy division. They've gotten incredibly hot during the playoffs, and since the NFL playoff are now March Madness, here they are.

But make no mistake: if they win this game, they immediately become the worst Super Bowl winner of all time.

Nice Analysis. However, I gotta ask. Do you think Cromartie will shutdown Holmes? I know he will be left on an island with Tone but I was curious to see what you think will happen.

The reason this concerns me is the health of Ward. If Hines can't contribute, then most likely you are looking at Cromartie with top help by the safety. Meaning we are leaving our offense in the hands of Nate and Sweed (both noted for their great hands ).

I beleive Whis will stack the box and make the passing attack beat them. Without Ward, this will be a daunting task at best.

It's hard to fathom Holmes being shut down....but there is no doubt that Cromar is quite capble of at least limiting Holmes to very pedestrian numbers. Cromar has the speed and athleticism to keep up with Holmes.

Remember this -- we also have a fellow named Miller, with the 2nd-best pair of hands on the team, who is allowed to participate in the passing offense.

I remember, and I remember we have a 6-9 TE that should get balls thrown at him on the GL, but will Ben and BA remember that heath is going to replace Hines as the 3rd down machine, and that Speath is a tall receiver with adequate hands? Thats real question.

I would like to point out that Haley plays to the strengths of his team. Warner has always been effective playing an uptempo quick release passing attack to set up the bombs. So Haley got him that. They have Pope, who is dangerous(or at least he was in College) but Warner never favored his TEs, so they don't really run much to them.

Arians could take notes, and remember that TE is a strong suit for us, and that Heath's presence and continued emergence is going to take pressure away from Tonio and Washington.

I watched, with interest, the cards-eagles highlights and it looked like cromar was lax in respecting desean's speed.

fifth defensive back (Deshea Townsend) and Lawrence Timmons
will replace Larry Foote at one of the inside linebacker

I would love to see Moore used as a check-down back as I assume AZ will try to bring the heat on Big Ben. How would BA balance the use of FWP and Moore? Is he even capable of figuring it out?

I agree. I would love to see more of Miller and Moore on third down situations. I really believe Fast Willie will have a decent game. He seems very confident and fresh to go. Anyone agree?

So, has anyone else noticed that in all the highlights I see of Fitzgerald, he NEVER comes across the middle unless he is more than 20 yards down field? I could certainly be wrong, because I only have access to his great catches, but if that is the case, I am certain Lebeau and the defense is ready for the player that I think offers the best chance for the Cardinals to pull this out.
