Media bias for Cards?

Postby First to Six » Sat Jan 24, 2009 4:23 pm

All I have seen all week is stories about Warner and the HOF, how Warner is the best story this year, the Cinderella Cards, Boldin being a jerk, Fitzgerald being unstoppable, etc. etc.

It seems to me that the national media is in the tank for the Cards.

Yeah yeah yeah there have been a few positive stories about the organization, but overall the coverage seems very unbalanced.

It's OK, I guess, I don't mind disappointing all the talking heads come Feb 1.

doesn't matter to me. our team plays better the less media hype they get so im actually liking the lack of attention

The media just wants the new story - the Steelers were in the big game just 3 years ago and the Cards have never been. Never! They've never been to the Super Bowl! Jerome Bettis is from Detroit!

Of course, if/when the Cards lose it will be told from their perspective as the big bad Steelers break their hearts, waah waah blah blah blah.

I agree let more of the media attention go to the cards.

This is not the BCS where the media pick the champion. I like the disrespect and flying under the radar to a point.

Should help to keep our team grounded and pissed off which is when we play our best ball.
