Articles about how a QB and a coach feel about each other...

Postby logjammin » Sat Jan 24, 2009 10:22 am

I think the media should completely stop telling us how a quarterback and a coach feel about each other. There came a point several years ago when I decided that enough is enough. Kind of like that summer in the early 90's when I decided that I didn't need to ever hear that song "Life is a highway; I wanna ride it all night long..." again.

Is anyone else with me on this? I haven't noticed a whole lot of articles recently from the How a Quarterback and a Coach Feel About Each Other genre, but like I said, they completely wore it out years ago. Especially since there is nothing about these articles that is useful to the reader. We might as well read an article in People magazine or something about how a movie-star and his movie-star ex-wife feel about each other.

Does anybody happen to know who wrote the recent article about BB and Whiz? I don't want to encourage this sort of thing by actually clicking on the link, but I might want to give somebody some feedback about the selection of the subject matter. And who do we think actually decided that would be a good topic for an article? The writer or an editor?

I hear ya but the media are nothing if not simplistic and lazy so the Anakin/Luke Skywalker angle will be worn threadbare as the 'journalists' submit their 500 words via e-mail before they head to the lobby bar for another J&B rocks.

As for Life Is A Highway I was a fairly strong fan of Tom Cochrane and Red Rider from their MTV clips. Unfortunately the execrable "band" Rascal Flatts and their obese frontman have revived the tune and all the HNC (hot new country) kids have turned it into a hit all over again.
