agree. Great find. Am tacking this atop the board.

And, lest I forget, a very nice use by Dick of REMOVING Fat Boy Hampton from the field on an OBVIOUS passing situation, and getting a fellow like Gay onto the field. I've checked the NFL rulebook, and this can be done at ANY time during the game, not only in the 4th Qtr.

We were in dime. We run that occasionally.

Yes, we do. Now, let's see if your butty Dick has enough smarts to get out of the base if/when Cheezen decides to go 4-wide on him.....

With Keisel's recent resurgence, one and two down lineman formations should be heavily featured. Aaron Smith is the beast of the the line, and the Keisel is good enough to hang in a variety of looks. I too would love to see LeBeau throw DeShea and Gay on the field as much as possible. Especially if Timmons is out with LaWood and Harrison, they would have an extremely versatile group, despite whether Farrior decides to show up or not. I really think our talented players are our young LBs, and DBs. keeping formations with as many of them as possible on the field is going to be key.

aaron smith racing to the flat to cover willis mcgahee is an interesting twist, which given the time left in the game and the down & distance seems like a low risk proposition but it is unnerving

Thinking the same thing, that could have been Jaccos 2nd or 3rd look if he had the time and if he didn't suck.

If B'more wants to throw to the flat on 3rd and 12 in that situation, let them. You have to trust the team's speed to close on McGahee before he makes the sticks.

The only time beefie boy ever got a sack that meant anything was on Hassleback in SB 40. Remember though they were lined up in an 'I' and it was 2nd down. (not an obvious passing down) In obvious passing situations or when teams spread us out the beef must sit on the sideline.
