Re: 3 THINGS
Yeah, his not gettin goff the field and costing a T.O. was the real kicker...and it cost us 3...that is more of a concern than the 3...if you get a stinger...you hustle off the field and then lick your wounds...

Re: 3 THINGS
At the beginning of the year didn't they diagnose him with an astigmatism and forced him to wear contacts? Might be the problem there...

I think I even read that from his lips in slow-motion the FIFTEEN TIMES that CBS played it...
if you watched the highlights on espn after the game with chris berman and tom jackson, they freeze-framed it when it hit his hands and zoomed in on his eyes... and he was looking off in the distance.
is the big screen in that endzone? maybe he wanted to watch himself like others do.
i heard he hurt himself doing his best jackie smith impression. lol

Agree whole-heartedly...
1> slowing down at the end of the play...
2> alligator arms...
3> the ridiculous friggin' DROP! ...
4> flopping on the field and pouting like that dude from Jerry McGuire, screwing us out of a timeout and 3 points...
all serious rookie screwups, but they can and will be addressed. I still think the future is very bright for this kid.
Plus, we won the game in spite of them...
Wha make you tink I won cutchu, mang?!?

I can't remember Tomlin's exact words about Sweed...but he was definitely not pleased...I imagine Sweed will be challenged to step up...or sit down...we really could use a man with his skill set...but damn...you gotta be there for your team...

Re: 3 THINGS
Let's face it though guys, we need Sweed for years to come. Hines isn't going to be around much longer, Nate make some great catches but drops more than his fair share, so if we can develop Sweed with Holmes, we should be all right at WR. I have a feeling they're going to call Sweed's number in the SB 43, so let's hope he watches the ball instead of the jumbo screen this time.

oh...
and at least sweed doesn't spike the ball after a first down in which he wasn't touched.

Re: 3 THINGS
I agree with most of you. Even though I wanted to KILL HIM on the spot, specially after faking an injury that cost us those 3 points, the kid's got talent, and had very little PT this year to get better, so I guess there's promise that he can develop, maybe even into a superstar WR with all the physical tools he's got.
Here's to Sweed making us all eat our words next year and becoming an important part of our offense , especially with Arians out of the way...(I can only dream, can't I)

Re: 3 THINGS
hopefully that drop makes sweed extra focused in the near and long-term future.
also, let's hope ben gives arians some motorcycle lessons in the offseason.

Where were you this season?!?!?
With respect to Nate, you'd HONESTLY have to use past tense and say that he DROPPED more than his fair share.
He's having a great year, especially lately.
That said, he's a UFA after this season, and we won't match what he'll command on the open market anyway.
#2/#3 WR from a SB winning team...puh-LEEZ!!
Thank you, Nate for a great start to a great career - you will be missed!

yep
it's a shame that players wouldn't rather stay on a well-run team with a lot of talent and make a little less money. why can't more have this mindset:
Jack Lambert wrote:If I could start my life all over again, I would be a professional football player, and you damn well better believe I would be a Pittsburgh Steeler!
the point you made just got me very excited though... WHAT IF the same thing happens to arians! if he looks like a genius in the super bowl and some team recruits him for a head coaching position! i think that's the only way we'll ever get rid of him. either that or three consecutive losing seasons.

How does one post an image?
I found an awesome pic of Sweed walking away after his block of Ivy.
But, being a luddite, I can not figure out how to upload it.

Re: 3 THINGS
Washington has had a history of dropping the ball on big plays...but not so much this year...he has really settled down...i hope he has a big game for us in Tampa...I hope Hines is out there with him. I guess it is unlikely we keep washington after this year...so he better go out there and earn his money...he has been really key for them this year...many big third down catchs...and tough ones too.

You won't actually upload the picture...You need a URL to reference the picture somewhere on the internet...
for example, this picture
is found at

All you gotta do is wrap the URL in '' tags...

Thanks, brother.
Alas, the picture that I found is part of an article, but does not have its own URL.
Here is the article:

Regardless, I did use your advice, to post another pic (somewhere in this forum).
Again, thanks.
