Sure, Parker looked MUCH better, but...
...you'll notice that his best running was done behind McHugh as the FB.
When he was the lone back, he was hardly effective. Not his fault, really, but Parker has always been best with a lead blocker. He really hit holes with much more power and authority than we've seen from him in a long time, and very little of the unsure stutter-stepping too.
I've been calling for it for months now, and I'm very glad to see the increased use of McHugh in that role. I think he does a much better job of blocking than Russell, and vastly improves an otherwise shaky run game.
I only hope Arians took notice, too, and doesn't fuck it up next week with too many single-back and empty-backfield sets.
