2nd Seed > 1st Seed????
If the Ravens beat the Dolphs, which looks like it's going to happen, do you think the Stillers would have been better off as the one seed and facing the Ravens, as opposed to the Chargers? I think not.
And if we beat SD (and we should), whoever wins the Titans/Ravens slugfest could be battered and bruised enough to where we should finish that team off..... Even if it's in Tenn.
We may be the beneficiary of weak div. champs versus a strong WC team. After weathering the tough schedule, with the bye to heal our wounds, we're really in good shape. Especially if the Rats hold on in Miami.

I'll take SD over the birds any day. And I think yer right, let the rats duke it out with the Titans. We'll squeak by SD without injuries and take on a worn out team. If I had my wish, I'd take the Titans again in the AFC game. Ben had a bad day. I think we're all gonna see a different Ben in the playoffs.

I'll say it here and now.
I'm afraid of the Ravens. Yes, it took some questionable play by Pennington and a crazy interception return for a TD to beat the Fins, but they're playing opportunistic football right now. With Ben throwing odd picks every couple of games or so, it just spells disaster for the Steelers. Besides, it is difficult to beat a team (not named the Browns) three times in a season. It just doesn't happen that often.
I'm not that excited about playing SD, either, but I'll take them over the Rats right now. After that, I think it would just be fitting for the Steelers/Rats to play for the AFC Champeenship, just so long as they don't finally get our team's number.
Then again, an 8-8 and a 9-7 team could potentially play for the Super Bowl. The way the NFL sometimes works, it's just crazy enough to happen.

With our OL and not-so-healthy Ben, and the Titans and Rats beating the living crap out of each other, very possible. And maybe a big upset in the NFC, with AZ's team getting in........
Pennington always wilts against a physical "D"...... That was the only game whose outcome came close to my prediction. (I thought the Colts and Falcons would win the other games.)

I'm not so sure that's completely by accident either. I don't think any coach would completely throw a game on purpose, but it's not rediculous to believe that Tomlin and LeBeau didn't show Tennessee everything they had. I think that were gonna give some different looks on both sides of the ball in the playoffs. I'm expecting a lot out of this team this year.

I think it's obvious that the Stillers only exposed a small portion of the D against the Tits, but tried to win the game with O.

I'm more interested in the pursuit of the USC O-Coordinator

The defense was so inept and vanilla against the Titans it looked as though it was a preseason game. I to belive that the Steelers were not really concerned about winning that game and held alot back. I believe in 05' the Colts kicked the crap out of us in the regular season and you know what happened in the playoffs, same thing will happen this time around if it ends up being Pitt vs Tenn.

What makes that so obvious?
One thing I am afraid of is being to tattered by the Ravens that the Steelers would have the advantage in the AFCC.
At the same time, I would say the Titans are about 10 points better of a team, so it should be very even as long as the Steelers can make it past SD.

You are obviously a Homer to think that the Titans ae a better team than anyone in thePlayoffs by 10 pts never mind the Steelers but it doesn't matter because you get the 2nd best team in the AFC North Sat with the number 2 Defense and if you get past them you will then have to face the No.1 Defense in the NFL. To beat both of these teams you will need a little luck no matter how good of a team you are. Pray the officials like you and that the Hospital list is not too long. I doubt if Collins can take many big hits so what does Fisher have behind Collins? Not much eh! Remember a couple years ago when Pgh destroyed N.E. in the regular season and then got beaten by N.E. in the AFCCG. You weren't shown much in that meaningless game. Let's wait and see round 2.
