Maybe we needed to lose?
I never like to see the Stillers lose but maybe we need this one to get us refocused. It will give us a chance to sit some guys next week and not worry about home field as much and risk injury.

This team is falling into old habits and believing the press clippings again.
They need to stop listening to the "greatest defense ever" and "cardiac kids" talk and just play some fucking football.

I never believe it is good to lose
We are on the brink of 12-4 and 8-8. As Cowher use to say, there is a FINE LINE and we have fortunatley been on the winning side more than not this year.
This O SUCKS - period.
If we lose in the playoffs, I HOPE Arians is fired in the locker room and we announce that we will find the best OLINEMAN in FA and draft for more big - uglies.
Mendy back next year will help and the D will stay in place.

It's not a good thing to lose.
But it could be a motivating thing.

if there's anything I like about it, we'll most likely be facing indy at home in a rematch, and then the titans again. the whole revenge angle might be a good motivation for the team

Sort of like 2005...
..."revenge" on the teams that had beaten the Steelers in the regular season.
Speaking of which, you can then add the NYGiants to the end of that list (of "revenge inflicted" teams).

I was thrilled to see them all stomping on the Terrible Towel after the game. Last time someone pulled something like that during the regular season, then met us again in the playoffs, I'm pretty sure it didn't turn out well for them...
Gotta love these teams that think the Super Bowl is won in December.

Re: Maybe we needed to lose?
Would have been nice to have the #1 seed. However, with our schedule 6 weeks ago if you would have said we have the #2 locked up and a chance at the #1 I would have said you were nuts.
I do think not pulling one out will/should serve as a wake up call.
