The Sack Race
1 DeMarcus Ware DAL OLB 15.0 sacks
2 Joey Porter MIA OLB 14.5 sacks
3 John Abraham ATL DE 12.0 sacks
3 James Harrison PIT OLB 12.0 sacks
5 LaMarr Woodley PIT OLB 10.5 sacks
Two Steelers in the Hunt.
Harrison needs 3.5 more for the franchise record, and that would put him in the lead for the season if no one else gets any more.

Re: The Sack Race
Well Ware got hurt on turkey day. I don't think it was too serious but it was a knee I think and that could slow him down but don't look for Harrison to get many tomorrow against N.E.

Re: The Sack Race
If forced fumbles would be considered sacks, then harrison would be in the lead. It's shows his character as a team player, going for the ball instead of just going for a sack numbers.

Re: The Sack Race
It would be great if he broke franchise record and led NFL. I'd love to see that. I'd love to see him sack Romo about 8 times then find that puss! D. Sanders and break his fing neck!!!!

Re: The Sack Race
I don't care if they lose the game, just bring full blitz the whole game and put that pu$$y in the Heinz field mud, and take some records in the process. (of course I care if they lose...being sarcastic)
Re: The Sack Race
Just out of curiosity....
Is Joey Porter having the most inexplicable season in NFL history?
Since when do 31-year-old LBs increase their season best totals by 50 or 60 percent?
Why is no one demanding he pee in a cup?
I mean, I actually still have a soft stop for the Completely Insane Joey Porter (or CIJP to his friends) but this is cuckoo bananas.

I asked the same thing when he hit 10 sacks back in week 8-9.
Sheesh.

OK, nice you added LB, because if I remember correctly, Reggie White and Strahan had great years late in their careers (in their 30's), in fact Kevin Greene left Pittsburgh to log 16.5 sacks in Carolina. I think one reason Joey is having a great year with sacks, (only), is due to the guy lined up across from him that teams have been focusing on.

Re: The Sack Race
Miami's coaches not dropping Porter into coverage as much as when he was in the past might have something to do with it also.

Re: The Sack Race
As I don't watch Dolphins games or highlights, I'd be interested to know how many of his sacks came ala Dong fashion.
