11-10
So, what a wacky stat to say that there has never been an 11-10 final in an nfl game. Does anyone know how the hell you would get a list of all final scores that have never occurred?

Re: 11-10
actual score without the refs blatantly doctoring the game, 18-3
Re: 11-10
What happened? I left the bar with no time remaining on the clock and the Stillers ahead 17-10. I figured the classy thing to do was to take a knee on the conversion attempt. But anyway, 3 hours later I looked on stillers.com, and the final score was 11-10. What was it, the lateral that Pola batted down and recovered was actually an illegal forward pass, and a forward pass that hits the ground is a dead ball?
I kinda liked the novelty of the first game in history that ended 11-10. Although Troy deserved to score more touchdowns than the offense did today.

The review of that play at the end of the game was yet another reason that proves the NFL is crooked as hell. Supposedly, the forward pass was LaDainian Tomlinson's lateral, which he basically handed off to the guy behind him.
Here's where it gets more interesting: I believe the point spread on the game was 5. Funny, huh? It was nice it worked out that the final score was altered at the very end. And yes, the refs were fishy as hell all day.

What I thought was funny was (at least what I saw) that they were looking at the last lateral that was batted down by Troy at the end of the game on the TV replay. They didn't even consider the LT lateral. Again, I was partly distracted because I was helping the wife get the kids ready for bed at the end of the game, so they might have checked that play, too.
At first, I thought, who cares, they win either day. Then I remembered that point differential, total points, and touchdowns are all tie breakers for playoff seeding. So, I watched very closely. Still can't believe that the TD was overturned.
Re: 11-10
Went to the Stanford/USC game yesterday (Stanford Stadium is a short walk from my house). My buddy has Stanford +25. It looks good for the first 3 quarters. Stanford has a couple of leads, and the score is tied at 17 at the half. Long story short, USC scores a TD with 1:05 left to go up by 28. My buddy is screwed. But, somehow Harbaugh gets his guys to play to the end. They drive to the 20 yard line, and are going to kick a field goal. From a betting perspective, it will make it a 25 point game. It's the only reason we are hanging around. Carroll, decides to ice the kicker (up 28, WTF). Stanford brings their offense back on the field, and throws a TD. They decline to kick the PAT. (Imagine the outrage/relief if the spread was 21 or 22 pts) ... My buddy covers, somehow.
I don't bet on sports, other than maybe Superbowl squares, etc. Nothing with Vegas or a bookie. My last real bet was a Cal Oklahoma game about 11-12 years ago. I forget the finer details, but I had one of those teams -5. The game is tied, my team scores a touchdown to go up by 6. With the extra point, it should be a 7 point game. The extra point is blocked, and taken back for 2 points, making it a 4 point game. They don't cover. The kicker was it the last bet I needed for a 3-team parlay. Haven't bet much since then.

Also remember, prior to the Reed FG, we had that TD negated by a holding penalty......
Whenever Tom Brady loses, it's always someone else's fault.

Wackiest Steelers final score, 0 - 0, 1933, against the Cincinnati Reds, (defunct team).
The first such score in 12,837 NFL games.
Re: 11-10
I'm pretty sure the idea is you cannot advance a lateral. That's what espn says.
Then again, I trust espn as far as I trust the refs.
I don't know how the FUCK either of those could be considered forward laterals.
And I don't know how the FUCK they made it 11-10 after coming out after the "review" and signaling touchdown.

I'm sure the networks have a giant database of game statistics (or access to the NFL's official database). Not to get into the details, but that sort of thing is simple to find out if you have all the data loaded (think of an Excel spreadsheet with the score of every game in NFL history). That's how announcers always drop those obscure statistics; some intern is in back hammering away on a keybooard looking up stats as the games develop.

Here is what I want to know - Why was there a review in the first place? The game was over, no matter what the review showed, SD wouldn't get another play on offense, so why was the play even reviewed?

"Classy", What the fuck does "Classy" mean? You should always RUN UP THE SCORE. If you're up 49-3 and at their 5 with 10 seconds left, you should kick to make it 52-3. "Classy" is a STUPID concept. Did you know that TOTAL POINTS can possibly be a factor in playoff positioning? What if some year you kneeled on the ball when you could have added a chip shot FG and you end up missing the playoffs by 2 points?

Not trying to start an online argument, but I was just curious if you were amongst the many Steelers fans who were calling for Bellicheck and Brady's head last year when they were "running up the score" on people week in and week out?
