Steelers Looking to Trade Dookie
When the Pittsburgh Steelers picked running back Rashard Mendenhall in the first round of the 2008 draft, it became fairly obvious that veteran Najeh Davenport would be the odd man out.
And that’s precisely the case.
A league source tells us that the Steelers are shopping Davenport, calling teams to gauge potential interest.
Davenport is signed through 2008, and he’s scheduled to earn a base salary of $1 million this season. He rushed for 499 yards on 107 carries in 2007.

I see teams maybe willing to give up a couple of tickets to go see the Dark Knight for Davenport but then again it is close to 10 bucks a piece now a days..maybe we can score a couple of kid's tickets or a matinée .

The Steelers have cut running back Najeh Davenport, NFL Network's Adam Schefter is reporting.
Davenport played in 15 games -- starting one -- for the Steelers in 2007, scoring five touchdowns while rushing for 499 yards. Davenport played two seasons for the Steelers after spending the first four years of his career in Green Bay.
Marines should come with warning labels.

Re: Steelers Looking to Trade Dookie
Dookie really didn't have a chance of making the team because of the depth at RB... so I think it is a nice move by the Steelers to get rid of him before camp so he can try to sign elsewhere.
If Dookie were on the team he'd get no PT... # 4 on the depth chart at best.
