Holy crap, an undefeated week. The end of my six week best bet losing streak.

This week's theme.... Big favorites. And picking against their really, really craptastic opponents.

Best Bet

New England Patriots (-8.0) over Washington Redskins

The loss of LT Trent Williams and TE Fred Davis to drug suspensions seems like the straw that will break the proverbial camel's back. Plus Belichick isn't known for being merciful.

Others

San Diego Chargers (-6.5) over Buffalo Bills

Rivers looked rejuvenated last Monday night. The Bills continue to free fall. The short work week did concern me enough to bump this out of my best bet into others.

Seattle Seahawks (-6.5) over St. Louis Rams

Another instant MNF classic. The Rams will likely be down to their third QB, former practice squader Tom Brandstater. Not that it really matters. Originally I had the Niners favored by 3.5 in Arizona penciled into this spot. For some reason I now think Whisenhunt and his charges could surprise the Niners.
