The first week is tough. To be honest I don't have much of a feel after the opening weekend. In fact I am going with three week one losers against three week one winners.
home team in bold
Best Bet
Dallas Cowboys (-3.0) over San Fransisco 49ersThe Cowboys imploded on Sunday night in the swamps of Jersey to blow a 14 point fourth quarter lead for the first time in franchise history finding a way to lose sort of like the first half of last season. The 49ers are not the Jets. Their margin of victory over what looks to be an awful Seahawks team was padded by a pair of Ted Ginn return touchdowns in the fourth quarter.
Others
Denver Broncos (-6.0) over Cincinnati BengalsThe Bengals won the first round of the battle of Ohio in Cleveland to open the season. I take that as a sign the Browns are in big trouble more than any long term positive for the Bengals. Orton puts up numbers despite brain freezes at the most inopportune times in close games. That should be enough in this matchup at home.
Atlanta Falcons (+2.5) over Philadelphia Eagles
The Bears continue to be better than I think. So I'll give last year's NFC wins leader a mulligan. Especially with them heading home where Matty Ice always plays his best ball. This line to me seems like an overreaction to week one results and the hype surrounding the Eagles.
