Hard Hat Award (Game #16, @ Clev.)

Stillers WR Mike Wallace and special teamer/LB Stevenson Sylvester are the co-winners of the weekly Hard Hat Award, given to the Stiller player who best embodies the iron-tough, hard-as-steel attitude of the steel workers inside the blast furnace of a still mill.

It�s not usual for a WR to earn merit for the Hard Hat, but Wally garnered well-deserved attention with a superb cap to a brilliant 2010 regular season.� On the Stillers first play from scrimmage, Wally ran a deep post, and undaunted by the bitter cold weather, hauled in a long, arcing pass for a 56-yard TD.� Soon later, he took a short slant on a key 3rd down, and then took off for the races on a 41-yard gain.� Many deep threats are afraid to go over the middle, but not Wally.�

Sylvester, the young rookie out of Utah, led the coverage-team charge in bottling Joshua Cribbs.� He had a rugged, head-hunting tackle on KO coverage in the 1Q, and then combined with Lewis on a KO cover stop midway through the 2Q.� He also saw time at LOLB and acquitted himself quite well with heady, solid play.��

Honorable mention goes to TE Heath Miller, who, in hilarious fashion, steamrolled a hapless Brown defender after a short reception, trucking the man so badly the tire marks could be seen from the top level of the stadium.�

Kudos to Wally and �Vester for winning the Hard Hat Award.� Wear the Hard Hat proudly, fellas!���
