Hard
Hat Award (Game #13, vs. Cinci)
Stiller SS Troy Polamalu is the winner of the weekly Hard
Hat Award, given to the Stiller player who
best embodies the iron-tough, hard-as-steel attitude of the steel workers
inside the blast furnace of a still mill.
Pola had a superb game, single-handedly (or two-handedly)
making enormous plays to ensure the Stiller victory over the Bungals.
In the 2Q, with the rest of the team sleep-walking and
bumbling, Pola astutely read the QB and snared an INT, and then took off for
the goal line. He was nabbed near the
sidelines by Carson LipBalmer, but in a true display
of sheer athleticism, Pola vaulted and stretched the ball to the pylon for a
mammoth touchdown.
The only negative on this play was that
Then, in the 4Q, with the game still very much in doubt due
to the constant leakiness of Dick LeBeaus 4th Qtr. Softee Defense, Pola again
saved the Ds bacon with a clutch INT.
Kudos to Polamalu for winning the Hard Hat
Award. Wear the Hard Hat proudly,
