Hard Hat Award (Game #5, vs. Clev.)

Stiller LB Jamie Harrison is the winner of the weekly Hard Hat Award, given to the Stiller player who best embodies the iron-tough, hard-as-steel attitude of the steel workers inside the blast furnace of a still mill.

In a rare accomplishment, Harrison was the winner in a unanimous vote by The Committee, a vote that took about 19 seconds to deliberate.   Harrison was a demonic terror all game long in the win over the Brownies, punishing Cleveland players with sideline-to-sideline pursuit, hitting, and malice.   

Harrison led the Stiller defense with 10 solos, but his effort went far, far above and beyond the stat sheet.   In addition to his usual punishing style of play, Harrison knocked not 1, but 2 Brownies out of the game with perfectly LEGAL hits.   Josh Cribbs tried a Wildcat keeper around his right end, and Harrison, hustling like a demon, pursued the play and ear-holed Cribbs with a brutal, yet perfectly legal, hit.   Cribbs immediately coughed up the ball (Clev. recovered) and was prone and motionless for a few minutes.   The very next series, Mohamed �Massengil� Massaquoi tried to haul in a short crosser.  Just as the ball arrived, Harrison belted him with a SHOULDER-to-the-helmet blow that leveled Massengil and left him out cold.   He, too, was escorted off the field, in a daze, and never returned.  (Disposable douche, indeed.)  

In what will certainly go down in Hard Hat lore, Harrison stated after the game, �I don't want to see anyone injured, but I'm not opposed to hurting anyone."  Not opposed, indeed!  

Of course, in a travesty of justice, Harrison, who was not flagged for either tackle, was issued a bullshit $75K fine by Commish Roger �Adolf� Goodell for the hit on Massengil, which purportedly was an increased fine due to being a �repeat offender� for a LEGAL tackle of Vince Young some 4 weeks ago.   Patent bullshit follows patent bullshit.   Isn�t that the way it always works under the rulership of an oppressive, delusional dictator??  

There were a couple other players in consideration by The Committee.   Timmons, Benji, Mcfadden, Pouncey, and Sanders gave solid efforts.   They just picked the wrong week in relation to what Harrison did as a 1-man wrecking crew.  

Kudos to Harrison for winning the Hard Hat Award.  Wear the Hard Hat proudly, James !
