.1.Indianapolis Colts14-0Regular season winning streak stands at 23 games. Have won 7 games this season after trailing in the 4th quarter and 7 games by 4 points or less.
.2.New Orleans Saints13-1Deserve a mulligan.
.3.San Diego Chargers11-3Could Rivers join Roethlisberger and Manning the younger as members of the class of '04 to make the Super Bowl. Not if Manning the elder has any say in the matter.
.6.Philadelphia Eagles10-4Clinched a playoff berth. Could still blow the division if the Cowboys win out including a head-to-head matchup in the final week in Dallas.
.4.Minnesota Vikings11-3Soap Opera staring Childress and Favre obscures the fact that Purple Jesus has been held under 4 yards per carry in 7 of his last 8 games.
.9.New England Patriots9-5Win in Buffalo was their first on the road this season in the continental United States. Only other road win came in London.
.8.Arizona Cardinals9-5Clinched their division and pretty much locked in as the 4th seed in the NFC.
.7.Cincinnati Bengals9-5Dreams of a 1st round bye ended with loss to the Chargers. How will Tuesday's trip to Louisiana for Henry's funeral affect them?
.5.Green Bay Packers9-5Pass defense exposed in Pittsburgh.
.12.Dallas Cowboys9-5Can't afford another December slip up with the Giants hot on their tails holding the tie breaker thanks to a season series sweep.
.11.New York Giants8-6Need help.
.15.Baltimore Ravens8-6Control their own destiny.
.10.Denver Broncos8-6Also control their own destiny. Not sure whether that is good or bad considering they have lost 6 of their last 8 including the last 2.
.17.Tennessee Titans7-7Season ending injuries to LBs Bulluck and Thornton are a severe blow to the defense.
.20.Pittsburgh Steelers7-7Roethlisberger and Wallace got Tomlin off the hook for his decision to try an onside kick leading by 2 with under 4 minutes remaining. Roethlisberger joined Tittle and Moon as the only NFL QBs to have 500 yards passing and 3 TDs in a game without throwing an interception. Roethlisberger broke Maddux's franchise single game passing yardage record and Bradshaw's single season passing yardage record. Ward joined Holmes as the second receiver tandem in franchise history to both top 1000 yards receiving in a single season. Miller broke Green's franchise record for receptions by a TE. Too bad the defense has fallen apart completely.
.19.Houston Texans7-7A 3rd straight .500 season may not be enough to save Kubiak's job.
.13.Miami Dolphins7-7Williams topped 1000 yards rushing for the first time since 2003, the longest gap between 1000 yard seasons in league history.
.16.Jacksonville Jaguars7-7Somewhat surprising bounce back season could be ended by back-to-back trips to Indianapolis and Foxboro.
.21.Atlanta Falcons7-7Showed pride with an improbable win in the swamps of Jersey after being officially eliminated from the playoffs by the Cowboys on Saturday night.
.14.New York Jets7-7Controlled the game against the Falcons from the opening whistle only to have the defense come up short when it mattered most in the final minutes. Sanchez throwing 3 more interceptions didn't help of course.
.22.Carolina Panthers6-8Prime time victory over the Vikings showed what might have been.
.18.San Fransisco 49ers6-8Should finish at .500 with games remaining against the Lions and Rams. A step in the right direction all things considered.
.27.Oakland Raiders5-9Frye gets another start despite Russell leading a comeback victory in relief last week.
.23.Chicago Bears5-9Snow storm made it difficult for them to get to Baltimore. Probably should have just stayed home.
.24.Buffalo Bills5-9Likely will be forced to try Brohm at QB due to injuries to Edwards and Fitzpatrick. How could he be any worse?
.26.Washington Redskins4-10Putting Zorn out of his misery immediately would be the humane thing to do.
.29.Cleveland Browns3-11Harrison smashed Brown's single game franchise rushing record. Cribbs broke the NFL record for most career kick return touchdowns. Helluva day in Cleveland.
.31.Tampa Bay Buccaneers2-12When is a win really a loss? When it costs you Suh.
.25.Seattle Seahawks5-9Continue to drift aimlessly after being turned down by Holmgren.
.28.Kansas City Chiefs3-11Run defense is a laughing stock.
.30.Detriot Lions2-12Schwartz needs time.... And better players.
.32.St. Louis Rams1-13Front runners in the Suh derby.
