Best Bet plus 2 (Week 16)

A second week over .500, albeit with a best bet loss. I have lost twice in the last two weeks. Both times picking the Cardinals. The Cardinals did hang on and win in Detroit to clinch the NFC West. They are definitely no longer on my radar screen for the final two weeks. My other two picks, both in prime time, were wildly different types of victories. The Colts came from behind to barely cover over the Jaguars. The Giants blew the Redskins out of the building in a laugher.

Indianapolis Colts (-5.5) over New York Jets

The Jets have everything to play for.... The Colts nothing.... The Colts have won seven games this season by less than four points. Another seven games after trailing in the fourth quarter. So why pick this game? A complete lack of faith in Dirty Sanchez. Hey, I picked a home team for the first time in three weeks.

Jacksonville Jaguars (+7) over New England Patriots

I don't particularly think the Jags will win this game. Just think they can keep the final score within a touchdown because of MJD and the Patriots struggling quarterback. Yes, you read that right. I took a shot at Tom Brady. </ducks to avoid thunderbolt from the gods>

Dallas Cowboys (-7) over Washington Redskins

Last week I was excited to take the Giants giving up only three in Washington. This week I am a little more reticent about taking the Cowboys minus seven in our nation�s capital. The Cowboys reversed their December swoon last Saturday by knocking the Saints from the ranks of the unbeaten in New Orleans. They head to Washington for a traditionally tough divisional matchup with the Redskins. The Redskins behind a rejuvenated Jason Campbell seemed to hold things together for a time despite a spate of on the field injuries and well documented off the field turmoil. Have they finally thrown in the towel? Seemed like it last week.
