Hard Hat Award - 2008 Season

Stillers LB James �Jamie� Harrison is the winner of the 2008 Season Hard Hat Award, given to the Stiller player who best embodies the iron-tough, hard-as-steel attitude of the steel workers inside the blast furnace of a still mill.

After winning the 2007 Season Hard Hat Award, there was no let-up by Harrison, who dominated the weekly award in �08, winning the ward twice and being the c-o-winner on 5 other occasions, including the Super Bowl. 

Harrison did everything The Committee expects from the award -- tough, intense, ferocious, hustling & hitting, play in and play out.  Harrison did that all season long, slamming RBs trying to churn out yardage on the ground; constantly harassing QBs; hustling downfield to tackle receivers; and even chipping in tremendously on spec teams, something that is almost unheard of for a superstar caliber player of Harrison�s stature. 

Jamie capped off the �08 season with a stupendous effort in the Super Bowl, highlighted by a spectacular 100-yard INT return in which Harrison - in true Hard Hat style -- would simply not be denied from the goal line as the half was nearing expiration.  This, ladies and gentlemen, is what Hard Hat football is all about.   Nobody personifies and lives this award more than does James Harrison.

Kudos to Harrison for winning the 2008 Season Hard Hat Award.  Wear the Hard Hat proudly this offseason, Jamie!
