.2.Pittsburgh Steelers11-3Won in Baltimore for the fist time in six years. Mike Tomlin became only the sixth head coach in league history to win a division in each of his first two seasons.
.3.Tennessee Titans12-2Hard to believe that homefield in the AFC could now legitimately slip through their fingers.
.1.New York Giants11-3Grip on homefield in the NFC has become surprisingly tenuous just like the Titans in the AFC. Not sure which is the bigger problem. Missing Burress on the field or the off the field distraction that he caused.
.5.Carolina Panthers11-3Williams has 814 yards rushing and 12 touchdowns in their last seven games. Not surprisingly they have won six of them.
.4.Indianapolis Colts10-4An eighth straight win in Jacksonville on Thursday would clinch a wild card spot and let them rest in the final week.
.6.New England Patriots9-5Still don't contol their own destiny for a playoff spot.
.10.Minnesota Vikings9-5Impossible to beat when Jackson throws four touchdowns and no interceptions like he did in Arizona.
.13.Dallas Cowboys9-5Ware is only three and a half sacks behind Strahan's single season record.
.11.Philadelphia Eagles8-5-1Offense firing on all cylinders since the return to health of Westbrook.
.16.Atlanta Falcons9-5Season already an unqualified success. A playoff berth would be nothing short of miraculous considering the state of the franchise last December.
.5.Baltimore Ravens9-5Loss to the Steelers puts them behind the eight ball.
.14.Miami Dolphins9-5Just keep winning. Pennington would have to be thrilled if the season ending trip to his old home in the swamps of Jersey is for the division title.
.7.Tampa Bay Buccaneers9-5Gave up an almost unfathomable 474 rushing yards in consecutive road defeats within the division.
.17.Chicago Bears8-6Remain alive after winning what amounted to an elimination game against the Saints on Thursday night.
.8.Denver Broncos8-6Still need a win to eliminate the Chargers. Should get it with Buffalo coming to town.
.12.Arizona Cardinals8-6Playing like a team with nothing to play for after already clinching the division.
.18.New York Jets9-5Jenkins looks tired and the defense has suffered. Still hold their fate in their own hands.
.19.Houston Texans7-7Johnson had the first 200 yard receiving game in franchise history. Slaton has topped a hundred yards rushing in four of the last five games.
.15.New Orleans Saints7-7Bush heads to IR with them officially eliminated.
.22.San Diego Chargers6-8Scored two touchdowns in the final minute and a half to avoid an upset in Arrowhead.
.20.Washington Redskins7-7Lost five of their last six games. Coincidently Portis has failed to gain 80 yards in five of their last six games. Could Zorn be one and done? Nothing is impossible with Snyder at the helm.
.26.Jacksonville Jaguars5-9Rumor is that Del Rio will survive with first year defensive coordinator Williams being sacrificed. Sort of ridiculous if it happens.
.21.San Fransisco 49ers5-9Victories in St. Louis and at home against the Redskins would give Singletary a winning record. Not out of the question.
.23.Buffalo Bills6-8Decison to pass with the lead and a little over two minutes remaining with the mistake prone Losman at quarterback when they had been dominating on the ground all day proved to be predictably disasterous.
.24.Green Bay Packers5-9Lost six of their last seven games. Lost their fourth straight for the first time since 2004.
.25.Cleveland Browns4-10Failed to score a touchdown for the fourth straight week.
.29.Cincinnati Bengals2-11-1Benson's 79 yard reception was the longest ever by a Bengals running back and bested his previous career longest play from scrimmage by 36 yards.
.31.Seattle Seahawks3-11Won their eighth straight over the Rams.
.27.Kansas City Chiefs2-12Peterson is out. Edwards could be next.
.28.Oakland Raiders3-11Lost to the Patriots in Oakland for the first time since 1978.
.30.St. Louis Rams2-12Blew a 10 point halftime lead to extend their losing streak to eight.
.32.Detriot Lions0-14Only the third team in NFL history to start 0-14. The '76 Buccaneers of course only played a 14 game schedule. The '80 Saints won in week 15.
