Hard Hat Award (Game #4, vs. Balt.)

Stillers OLBs Jamie Harrison and LeMarr Woodley are the co-winners of the weekly Hard Hat Award, given to the Stiller player who best embodies the iron-tough, hard-as-steel attitude of the steel workers inside the blast furnace of a still mill.

Harrison, following up on last seasons effort vs. Balt. in what may have been the franchises best game ever by an OLB, had another tooth-rattling, bone-jarring effort in the win over the Ravens.  Dirty Harry led all Stiller defenders with 10 total tackles, and seemed to be in the thick of things all nite long.  He helped take over the game in the 3Q with a relentless pass rush that culminated in a brutal hit on Flacco that jarred the ball loose, which was scooped up by Woodley for a Stiller TD.  Harrison also forced a couple hasty throw-aways with heavy pressure and hard hits.  Harrison did all this, despite suffering a leg injury while trying to recover a fumble while on punt coverage in the 2nd quarter.

Woodley also had a Hard Hat kind of evening, applying relentless pressure and assaulting the Raven backfield at every opportunity.  He finished with 5 solos, 3 As, and 1 FF.   Wood had the pressure that set up Harrisons FF in the 3Q, and in the 4Q he bullrushed FB Lorenzo Neal -- as stout a FB as there is in the NFL -- and smacked the QB for a loss.  Woodley also scored the big TD in the 3Q, correctly corralling the loose ball first and then springing onto his feet and dashing to the EZ.

Others receiving consideration from The Committee were Bryant McFadden, Benji Roethlisberger, Pat Bailey, Darnell Stapleton, and Anthony Madison.

Kudos to Harrison and Woodley for winning the Hard Hat Award.  Wear the Hard Hat proudly, gents!
