Fat Casey Fails Run Test
As you may have already
read, Fat Casey Hampton failed the run test on Day 1 of camp. I applaud Mike Tomlins firm stance on this,
although, truth be told, the time to monitor a fatasss
weight is in April & May, not the last week of July.
Its bad enough The FatAss failed the run test.
But then he made it worse, trying to rationalize his way out of it with
a host of bullshit rationale
-
"Some things going on at home," is the way Hampton put it.
- Hey, last season I made
the Pro Bowl.
Hampton is paid rather handsomely at over $4M per year
to be in solid shape. Keeping in shape
doesnt require 6-hour per day workouts.
Had The FatAss run for just 45 minutes per day,
4 times per week, hed have been in more than adequate shape for camp. Blaming his fatassism
on issues in the crib is a weak, gutless excuse.
As
for The Blo Bowl, thats a total farce. Hampton made it as a RESERVE, and
he made it on reputation alone. Fact is, he clearly had a poor 2007 season, a season in which, by seasons
end, teams rarely ever double-teamed him because there simply was no need to do
so.
In
fact, last season, I personally exposed the fable of Hampton is constantly
double-teamed on each and every play. The
days of opposing teams using 2 blockers to block Mister FatAss
on the majority of ground plays are long over. If there is any good to come of this run test
failure, it is that some fans will start spending time actually WATCHING FatBoy Hampton during games, rather than blindly spouting
media-fed bullshit about how Hampton occupies 2 blockers every
play and clogs the middle. Then only
thing hes been clogging lately, are the drive-thru lines at Taco Bell and
Burger King.

fables than any other source..)
