Dick Exposed, Once Again, by National Media...!

The Supreme Lord & Deity of Defensive Coaching, Dick LeBeau, has once again been exposed as the over-rated fraud that he is, this time by NBC Sports.

Titled “Don’t Believe Hype With Steelers’ Defense”, here is the link to the brilliant article by Rick Kacsmar from NBC Sports --

http://nbcsports.msnbc.com/id/49468506/ns/sports-nfl//

It’s apparent that Kacsmar has astutely read my articles since 2009, which have exposed Dick has the over-rated fraud that he had become by then.

Some excerpts from this GEM of an article --

“Well as a compiler of football statistics and a Pittsburgh native who has experience every single high and low, here’s the truth:

The Steelers defense is vastly overrated, just like much of LeBeau’s coaching career has been.

Known as the father of the zone blitz, which creates the illusion of pressure, LeBeau has also created an illusion that his long career is full of defensive coaching success.  That’s not the case.”

“You can have all the top-ranked statistical defenses you want. If you cannot make a play to win a game or perform anywhere close to your usual level against the best of the best, then the only reality is your defense is overrated.

Since 2007, Pittsburgh’s defense has allowed 20 game-winning drives in the 4th quarter or overtime, which is tied with Green Bay for the league’s second most.”

Twenty is too high for a defense that allows the league's fewest points and yards, but none of that has mattered when it comes to crunch time.

Not only is allowing 10 game-winning drives in the final two minutes the worst in the league, but the Steelers have somehow surrendered the game-losing points a league-worst nine times in the last 40 seconds of the game (no other team has more than six). Maybe the only thing worse than that are the seven times in which they have allowed the winning points in the final 0:15.

You just leave your offense no real time to answer in that situation, and nearly half the losses have happened that way.

Great quarterbacks have very few problems playing LeBeau’s defense. Here are the numbers Super Bowl-winning quarterbacks have had against him in Pittsburgh since 2004.

“Only Favre struggled, and while the record is close to .500, some of the wins have only been possible because LeBeau has a quarterback of this caliber on his side.

But the evidence piles up to show that he is not the flawless defensive guru he gets glorified as. While his defense may produce a lot of good numbers — at least in Pittsburgh it has — it consistently fails in late-game situations and against the best in the game.”

Yes indeed, it turns out Dick isn’t the glorified deity that many of his worshipping followers have believed he is.   He’s a farce, a façade, and a fraud.   Sorry, Dick, and the LAA (LeBeau Apologists Association).....you lose, because Dick is himself, as clearly shown above, a proven loser.   Be sure to read the entire article, and save it for future reference, particularly as you discuss Dick’s vast and well-known failures with Steeler fans that worship and glorify the man as though he were the 2nd coming of Jesus Christ.

Let the record show that no one -- no analyst, no network, and no web site, has exposed Dick has as the fraud that he is, more or earlier than has Stillers.com.    We set the standard for others to emulate, to include NBC Sports.

(Still Mill and Stillers.com -- when it comes to the analysis of the Pittsburgh Stillers, no one else comes close….)
