RnkLW*TeamRecordComments
.1.New England Patriots4-0An interested Moss is a deadly Moss.
.2.Indianapolis Colts4-0Nothing seems to faze them. The extent of the injuries to Addai and Harrison bear watching.
.4.Dallas Cowboys4-0First 4 opponents have only won 3 games combined. Monday night in Buffalo also shouldn't be much of a challenge.
.6.Green Bay Packers4-0Rejuvinated soon to be 38 year old Favre is winning despite the complete lack of a running game and just broke Marino's career TD passing record. How can you beat that?
.10.Seattle Seahawks3-1Avenged the 2006 sweep at the hands of the 49ers.
.3.Pittsburgh Steelers3-1Played a sloppy game that included 11 penalties, 4 sacks against, 2 interceptions, 3 fumbles and costly special teams breakdowns. Eerily remiscent of last year's 2-6 start.
.7.Tennessee Titans2-1Kudos to Young, Bulluck and Scaife for visiting Everett in a Houston hospital on their bye.
.8.Jacksonville Jaguars2-1Trip to Kansas City against the resurgent Chiefs will be an interesting test that could have wild card repercussions.
.5.Baltimore Ravens2-2Loss in Cleveland was unfathomable. Maybe most surprising was McAlister's complete inability to cover Edwards.
.17.Tampa Bay Buccaneers3-1Graham and Pittman should easily be able to make up for the loss of Anderson. Losing Petitgout may be more of an issue.
.9.Denver Broncos2-2Not among the elite. Luckily their division lacks a dominant opponent.
.22.Detriot Lions3-1Already equalled last year's win total. Maybe Kitna's guarantee of 10 wins or more wasn't so crazy after all.
.20.New York Giants2-2Defense that came alive in the second half against the Redskins exploded for an NFL record tying 12 sacks including 6 by Umenyiora against the shell shocked Eagles.
.11.Carolina Panthers2-2In big trouble if Delhomme needs elbow surgery. Carr doesn't look like he will ever recover from the beating he took in Houston.
.14.San Fransisco 49ers2-2Funny how the loss of Turner as offensive coordinator has had such an adverse affect while the Chargers hiring him as head coach has been such a disaster.
.23.Arizona Cardinals2-2Whisenhunt and Grimm got their revenge. Green knew how to acquire talent, but couldn't coach. Whisenhunt is already proving he can coach.
.25.Kansas City Chiefs2-2Edwards knows how to grind out a victory in a close game despite the well deserved grief he gets for his ultra-conservative style.
.21.Washington Redskins2-1Move up on their bye with quite a few teams previously rated above them faltering badly. Upcoming games against the upstart Lions, Packers and Cardinals should be interesting.
.12.San Diego Chargers1-3Tomlinson rushed for 116 yards in the first half. Then 16 yards in the second half. That wouldn't have happened with Schottenheimer as coach. This IS meant as a shot at the clueless Turner.
.13.Chicago Bears1-3Griese proved to be no better than Grossman. That is not meant as an endorsement of Grossman.
.15.Houston Texans2-2Loss of Green, Johnson and Jones has been too much for the offense to overcome. Especially Johnson.
.16.Philadelphia Eagles1-3Reid's failure to adjust and give Justice help in his first start against Umenyiora was as mind-boggling as it was costly.
.18.New York Jets1-3Unable to overcome their lack of big play performers on both sides of the ball against a tougher schedule than last season.
.19.Cincinnati Bengals1-3Defense isn't just bad, it is an embarassment.
.27.Oakland Raiders2-2Culpepper accounted for 4 touchdowns rushing and passing in Miami. Had to feel good.
.28.Cleveland Browns2-2Shockingly 2-1 in the division with victories over the Bengals and Ravens. Anderson is working hard to save Crennel's job.
.24.New Orleans Saints0-3Take a tumble down the rankings on their bye with several teams previously rated below them surprisingly winning. Desperately need to beat the inconsistent Panthers to right the ship.
.29.Buffalo Bills1-3Edwards showed skills and confidence. He will get another start against the Cowboys. Losman deserves another opportunity when he is ready to return from injury, but his leash will understandibly be short.
.32.Atlanta Falcons1-3White and Jenkins are much improved in Petrino's scheme with Harrington at QB. That doesn't put Vick or former offensive coordinator Knapp in a very good light.
.26.Minnesota Vikings1-3Childress started Taylor over Peterson and then only gave Peterson 2 carries in the second half after he gained 108 yards on 10 carries in the first half. Incredibly stupid.
.30.St. Louis Rams0-4So much for Bruce's guarantee.
.31.Miami Dolphins0-4Porter's guarantee didn't work out either despite the best efforts of Brown.
