Power Rankings (week 10)

November 11, 2015 by Steel Haven

Rnk LW* Team Record Comments
1. 1. New England Patriots 8-0 Scored in every quarter since the first of the opener against the Steelers.
2. 3. Cincinnati Bengals 8-0 Continue to extend franchise record for most wins to start a season. Lewis, Dalton still desperately need to win a playoff game.
3. 4. Carolina Panthers 8-0 Never before have there been more than 2 teams undefeated after 8 games, this year there are 3 even after the Broncos lost in Indy.
4. 2. Denver Broncos 7-1 Peyton now has more interceptions this season than Luck, no one else has as many as either.
5. 6. Arizona Cardinals 6-2 Palmer has thrown 20 TD passes at the season's halfway point, no other QB in franchise history has thrown for more than 30 in an entire season.
6. 8. Minnesota Vikings 6-2 Winners of 4 straight, remain undefeated at home.
7. 5. Green Bay Packers 6-2 Rodgers suffered back-to-back regular season losses for first time since '10.
8. 7. Atlanta Falcons 6-3 Lost 3 of their last 4, the bloom is off the rose for Quinn.
9. 9. Seattle Seahawks 4-4 Come off the bye with a huge divisional matchup against Arizona.
10. 11. New York Jets 5-3 Planning on Fitzpatrick having surgery on Friday for torn ligament in thumb after game against Bills, hope couple of extra days of rest means he can avoid missing any time. Anything to keep Geno off the field.
11. 14. New York Giants 5-4 Off to best start since '12. JPP looked OK in right thumbless/index fingerless return despite no sacks.
12. 15. Pittsburgh Steelers 5-4 AB exploded for the 9th most single game receiving yards in league history, Williams added 170 rushing yards and a pair of TDs replacing the injured Bell. Unfortunately Roethlisberger sprained his foot in the final quarter and likely will not play against the Browns.
13. 17. Indianapolis Colts 4-5 Pep took the short term blame, so far firing him worked better than the Lions firing Lombardi. Loss of Luck to lacerated kidney, possible tear in abdominal wall makes things more difficult despite Hasselbeck being 2-0 in his earlier starts this season.
14. 18. Philadelphia Eagles 4-4 Won 5 of last 6 in Dallas.
15. 10. St. Louis Rams 4-4 Anyone saying Joyner's cheap shot elbow to sliding Bridgewater's head wasn't brutal, incredibly dirty is either blind or stupid.
16. 13. Oakland Raiders 4-4 Scored 35 points and erased a 14 point fourth quarter deficit, yet couldn't stop Landry replacing Roethlisberger on the final drive.
17. 19. Buffalo Bills 4-4 Watkins had 8 catches for 168 yards, Taylor threw 12 passes total and thanks to sacks his team had 154 net passing yards.
18. 12. New Orleans Saints 4-5 Once imposing home field advantage a thing of the past, lost 7 of last 10 in Super Dome.
19. 24. Chicago Bears 3-5 Rookie Langford helped them forget Forte at least for a night.
20. 16. Miami Dolphins 3-5 Whatever bump they got from Campbell replacing Philbin is gone.
21. 21. Kansas City Chiefs 3-5 This week's matchup in Denver the last remaining on their schedule against an opponent that currently has a winning record.
22. 22. Houston Texans 3-5 Still only half a game back in their division even though the Colts upset the Broncos while they were on bye.
23. 20. Washington Redskins 3-5 Cousins simply too inconsistent.
24. 29. San Francisco 49ers 3-6 Holding Freeman to 12 rushing yards a much bigger key to victory than switching from Kaepernick to Gabbert.
25. 23. Tampa Bay Buccaneers 3-5 Evans had 6 drops, most in a single game by a receiver in the last 10 years.
26. 25. Jacksonville Jaguars 2-6 Robinson and Hurns are the first teammates to each gain 600 yards receiving and score 6 TDs in the first 8 games of a season since Moss and Welker in '07.
27. 27. Baltimore Ravens 2-6 Defense has not forced a turnover in their opponents last 57 consecutive full drives.
28. 32. Tennessee Titans 2-6 Mariota threw 4 TDs for interim coach Mularkey, no matter what they can't afford to hire Mularkey full time.
29. 26. Dallas Cowboys 2-6 Riding a 6 game post-Romo injury losing streak, defense has produced a miniscule 4 turnovers all season.
30. 28. San Diego Chargers 2-7 McCoy unlikely to be making the trip with the franchise to Los Angeles.
31. 30. Cleveland Browns 2-7 Fell completely flat in the second half in Cincinnati on Thursday night allowing me to go to bed early.
32. 31. Detriot Lions 1-7 Firing Lombardi/Washburn/Heffernan was always about meaningless scapegoating, firing Lewand/Mayhew more to the point.
