Stillers-Bills
Post Game Thoughts by Steel

--- 3 or 4 plays clearly illustrated the major differences between Ben and Tommy. Mobility of course, but also Tommy threw a few more lemons per quarter/game than Ben has been throwing, and in addition to the INT for a TD, there were 2 other passes that could have ended in the same result. I will give Tommy a bit of a pass for being out so long, but I was reminded of his ongoing propensity for the untimely INT mixed in with some good play. By the way, did anyone else see Maddox put in hands up to complain that he was blocked in the back after he tried to run down his INT for a TDnice attempt to soften the blow!
--- Someone
please tell El to put both hands on the ball before he gets hitother than that
had has a good game, especially a nice leaping grab on 3rd down in the 1st
half.
--- Scott
had some nice plays, but showed some definite rusttough call on whether to
start him or put him in the nickel if DeShea is back in 2 weeks.
--- Willie
Parker had some easy runs, and nice really good ones alsosame with Haynes when
he was in. Duce looked a little better
then a few weeks ago if not fully back to 100%.
--- Jeff
Reed is in the ultra-zonea few more games please.
--- The
Bills best drive of the day came in the 2nd qtr when Willis running down our
throat on several plays and then a 5 yarder for the TD. The next Bills drive, they go 5 wide with
nobody in the backfield on first down?
Bledsoe gets sacked and the Bills start a nice run of 3-and-outs. Also,
they wait until the final drive of the game to throw a really long pass play
(which they completed) while this is probably the weakest part of the Stillers
defense. I thought it was a really poor
effort by Malarkey.
--- I guess
Bledsoe will never get that QB clock that is so important, especially when
you are as much of a statue as he is.
Anyhow, how about showing some emotion to try and motivate your
teammates?! The Bills had just put a
great winning streak together, their entire season is on the line, and this guy
looked and acted like he was playing a scrimmage game. (I watched the game with a Bills fan and he
agreed) I saw no leadership by him or
anyone else on their offense. Was Belichick ever right
--- What a
difference between the Stillers in Week 17 and the sad excuse that was the
Eagles Week 16 and 17. I think Cowher
played it right, sitting players who were hurt, but playing everyone else at
least for a little bit. The Eagles had
a good opportunity for McNabb to get some reps in with his other WRs, and
they decided to let him play for one drive the past 2 weeks. They threw a lot more this week, but McNabb
didnt even play. Yes, he could get
hurt, but hes pretty mobile and strong and I think worth the risk considering
their Super Bowl hopes will most likely depend on Pinkston, Mitchell, etc.
--- Another
long, steady, clock-killing run drive in the 2nd half, this time late in the
4th qtr. Lets hope this can be
duplicated when it really counts.
--- Who are
you rooting for? Denver or NY
Jets? I say Denver as they are about
equal with the Jets, but if they win they knock out the Colts, and I think the
Stillers match up better with San Diego, not that wed be likely to see either
one of them if we reach the Championship Game.
--- The
first AFC team ever to go 15-1, with 14 wins in a row. I think we can afford one small moment to
say.. Wow, what a great year!!!
Congrats, Stillers!
