Zereoue Wins Weekly Hard
Hat Award (Game #8, @ Clev.)
Stiller RB Amos Zereoue is the winner of our
weekly Hard Hat Award, given to the Stiller player who best
embodies the iron-tough, hard-as-steel attitude of the steel workers inside the
blast furnace of a still mill.
Amoz, starting in place of the oft-injured
Jerome Bettis, gained a career high 111 yards in the big win over
Cleveland. Amoz toted the ball a career
high 29 times, thereby disproving the absurd Pittsburghian fallacy that a running
back less than 230 pounds cannot handle a full workload. Despite claims that only Doughboy Bettis is
capable of "moving the chains in the 4th quarter" Amoz led the way on
the first drive of the 4th quarter. On
three (3) consecutive plays, Amoz toted the ball and gained 5, then 13, and
then 8 yards. The team then avoided
giving the ball to AZ the rest of that drive, but AZ's huge contribution
allowed the Stillers to chew clock and move the ball. AZ also contributed 62 yards on 5 catches during the game. Throughout the contest, AZ ran hard and ran tough,
which clearly earned him the committee's choice for the coveted Hard Hat.
Kudos to Amos for winning the weekly Hard
Hat Award. Wear the Hard Hat
proudly, Amos !!
