Hard Hat Award (Game #3, @ OAK)
Stiller QB Benji Roethlisberger is the winner of the weekly Hard Hat Award, given to the Stiller player who best embodies the iron-tough, hard-as-steel attitude of the steel workers inside the blast furnace of a still mill.
Bed had a strong game at QB, going 36 of 49 for 384 yards and 4 TDs, en eroute to putting 31 points on the board. He played his position about as well as can possibly be played, and that is part of what Hard Hat football is all about.
No other players merited consideration, showing what a slackly, half-assed effort this was, particularly on the D-side of the ball.
