.3.San Diego Chargers8-2An offensive juggernaut. Marty ball has morphed into Air Schottenheimer. Became the first team in history to overcome a deficit of 17 points or more in successive weeks. Scored touchdowns on their final 4 possessions in Denver. Tomlinson got into the endzone 4 more times to become the fastest player ever to score 100 touchdowns in his career. Tomlinson's 22 touchdowns are only 6 less than the single season record held by Alexander.
.4.Chicago Bears9-1Took advantage of opponents mistakes by turning a foolish onsides kick into a field goal and a poorly timed blitz into a touchdown.
.1.Indianapolis Colts9-1Almost seem relieved that the pressure of going undefeated has again been lifted from their shoulders. I actually think that is a sign of what is wrong with this team. Instead of embracing history and welcoming the pressure they would seemingly prefer to keep a lower profile. That attitude does not work in the playoffs.
.5.Baltimore Ravens8-2Sams repeatedly gave the offense a short field and they managed to take advantage.
.2.Denver Broncos7-3Offense has scored 20 touchdowns this season. As mentioned earlier Tomlinson has scored 22 by himself.
.6.New England Patriots7-3Rebounded from consecutive defeats. This week's game against the Bears should give us a good idea of where both teams stand.
.10.Dallas Cowboys6-4Romo has gone from afterthought to savior to supposed boyfriend of Jessica Simpson in a month. Hopefully his head won't get so big that his helmet doesn't fit.
.11.Carolina Panthers6-4Development of Williams has provided a much needed boost to the offense.
.7.Seattle Seahawks6-4Hasselbeck's return couldn't come at a better time.
.14.Jacksonville Jaguars6-4Garrard improved his career record as a starter to 7-2 as Leftwich decided to undergo season ending ankle surgery. Leftwich may find himself as trade bait in the offseason.
.8.New York Giants6-4Their 2 game division lead is gone.
.9.New Orleans Saints6-4Losers of the last 2 despite a combined 908 yards passing by Brees.
.16.Kansas City Chiefs6-4LJ helped them overcome Green's understandable rustiness.
.17.Cincinnati Bengals5-5Ocho Cinco set the record for most receiving yards in consecutive games with 450 against the Chargers and Saints.
.13.New York Jets5-5None of their remaining opponents have a winning record (or are even .500).
.15.Atlanta Falcons5-5Desperately need to beat the Saints next Sunday.
.19.Pittsburgh Steelers4-6Barely kept their faint playoff hopes alive after playing what might have been the worst 3 quarters of football in the Cowher era. Roethlisberger shook off the 3 first half interceptions and led 3 long touchdown drives in the fourth quarter. Even a kick return for a touchdown after the first drive did not phase him. Roethlisberger ended up throwing for 224 yards in the final stanza. Whether this is a sign of things to come is of course unknown. This is a team firmly behind the 8 ball with 6 losses. And the total ineptitude of the first 45 minutes in Cleveland is hard to forget.
.20.Miami Dolphins4-6First team since 1961 to win despite a negative rushing total.
.21.San Fransisco 49ers5-5Gore set the franchise single game rushing record by gaining 212 yards on the ground in a shocking victory over the Seahawks.
.12.Philadelphia Eagles5-5McNabb's torn ACL is the death knell for their season.
.24.Buffalo Bills4-6Evans had 3 catches for 180 yards including a pair of 83 yard touchdowns in the first quarter.
.18.Green Bay Packers4-6Favre is expected to make his 252nd start after suffering an elbow injury. Good thing since backup Rodgers was lost for the season after breaking his foot in relief of Favre.
.28.Tennessee Titans3-7Pacman is inconsistent at corner and a headache off the field. His ability as a punt returner almost makes him worth the aggravation.
.22.Minnesota Vikings4-6Need a passing game.
.23.St. Louis Rams4-6In the midst of a league high 5 game losing streak.
.29.Tampa Bay Buccaneers3-7Had enough offense to beat the Deadskins. That actually doesn't mean much. Thanksgiving day trip to Dallas is obviously a much tougher test.
.25.Cleveland Browns3-7The natives are getting restless after a 6th straight loss to their bitter rivals in Pittsburgh.
.26.Houston Texans3-7Carr tied a record by completing 22 straight passes and nobody noticed. Kubiak's influence is really helping him.
.27.Washington Redskins3-7Campbell's performance in defeat gives them some hope for the future.
.32.Arizona Cardinals2-8Offensive linemen need to be found in the offseason to help out Leinart and James.
.31.Oakland Raiders2-8Brooks again showed why he has no business starting in the NFL. His interception on first down from the Chiefs' 8 yard line with 32 seconds remaining was an awful decision.
.30.Detriot Lions2-8Can things get worse after a loss in Arizona? A loss at home on Thanksgiving to a team quarterbacked by the hated Harrington will likely send their fans into a state of apoplexy.
