Smitters Week 15 Picks vs the spread

Last week: 9-7 Overall: 102-106 49.0%

FLGs last week: 1-2 FLGs overall: 22-20 52.4%

Last week couldnt have gone better for the Steelers. This week could be just as good the Steelers could win, while the Chiefs and Chargers are underdogs. Heck, there is even a chance that the Steelers wont have to beat Detroit to make the playoffs. I guess the big question in the NFL this week is how long does Peyton and the rest of the Colts stars play? I can see how the players would want to go 16-0 and make the record books, but what happens if Peyton sprains an ankle or twists a knee, and in their first game of the playoffs, with them not being able to artificially make the crowd noise louder, and Peyton on the bench, the Colts lose to the Steelers? It will make for some interesting conversation, especially if the Colts win this week. Stay tuned.

Tampa Bay (+ 4 ) over New England The Pats defense has been playing better in the last few weeks, and the Bucs offense hasnt been able to scare many, but the Bucs defense keeps this game close.

NY Giants (- 3 ) over Kansas City I cant believe I was rooting for Dallas last weekend, and cant believe I will be rooting for the Giants Saturday. I look for Eli to come out of his slump and lead the Giants to a win in a high-scoring game.

Denver (- 9 ) over Buffalo Denver has appeared to shaken their previous years usual bungling of December. Buffalo is just a mess. Change of quarterback doesnt matter in this game.

Pittsburgh (- 3 ) over Minnesota I take the Vikings winning streak the same as the Bears streak, and we saw what happened to the Bears last week. This game is in Minnesota though, which may present a problem for the Steelers. The offense line will destroy the Vikes the same way they did the Bears.

Indianapolis (- 7 ) over San Diego Even though the Colts may rest some starters, they still have enough firepower to beat the Chargers, who may still be reeling from losing to the Dolphins at home.

San Francisco (+ 15 ) over Jacksonville Perhaps Alex Smith will finally throw a TD pass.

Seattle (- 7 ) over Tennessee Seattle is still playing for home-field throughout the NFC playoffs. That should be enough to beat the Titans on the road.

Arizona (- 1 ) over Houston The Texans take the next step in securing the #1 pick in the draft.

Miami (- 9 ) over NY Jets Miami is a team that may make some noise next year, and win a few more this year.

Carolina (- 9 ) over New Orleans (at Baton Rouge) Carolina cant afford any more slipups. Saints want the season the be over.

Dallas (+ 3 ) over Washington Win last week gives the Cryboys some momentum for the playoff push. Skins still have a say-so in who wins the division with the Giants coming to town next week.

Cincinnati (- 8 ) over Detroit Cincinnati, on the indoor track, will make it look like a track meet. The Fire Matt Millen roar gets louder in Detroit.

Oakland (- 3 ) over Cleveland Kerry Collins returns to the Raiders QB spot. Should be enough to beat the Clowns.

St Louis (- 3 ) over Philadelphia Game is indoors, which suit the Rams. Eagles almost beat the Giants last week, but wont have enough for this game.

Atlanta (+ 3 ) over Chicago Atlanta is another team that cant afford a loss, but, by time this game is played, the Bears may realize they need to win in order to still lead the division. Even outdoors in the cold, Michael Vick will lead the Falcons to a much needed win.

Green Bay (+ 3 ) over Baltimore Another bad matchup on Monday Night Football. Quite possibly the last game on the national stage for Brett Favre. That is enough to lead the Pack over the Ravens.

My First Look Goodies (FLG) for the week are:

Denver (- 9 ) over Buffalo

Arizona (- 1 ) over Houston

Cincinnati (- 8 ) over Detroit
