Smitters Week 1 Picks vs the spread

Smitters Week 16 Picks vs the spread

Last week:6-10 Overall: 108-116 48.2%

FLGs last week: 2-1FLGs overall: 24-21 53.3%

Well, my chances of getting to the 52.6% mark appear shot after last weeks 6-10 record. My FLGs are above the mark, so at least I have that going. Last week, we rooted for the Chiefs to lose, this week we are big Chief fans. Weird.

Pittsburgh (- 7 ) over Cleveland At first thought, I was thinking this was going to be a close game. But, I think the Steelers are going to romp all over the Clowns. We got up on them early, and the Browns and their fans will be leaving early to get their last minute Christmas shopping done.

Cincinnati (- 14 ) over Buffalo The Bengals are playing well, and still want the first-round bye. The Bills are not very good.

Kansas City (- 1 ) over San Diego Lets go CHIEFS. San Diego continues their up and down season.

Miami (- 5 ) over Tennessee Miami is playing well, and I look for that to continue over the Titans this week.

Jacksonville (- 6 ) over Houston Jax looks to clinch the #5 seed and a trip to New England. Houston looking forward to the loser-take-all Reggie Bush Bowl next week.

New Orleans (- 3 ) over Detroit New Orleans has been playing about as bad as Detroit. But, the Saints have had more fan support in San Antonio than Baton Rouge.

Carolina (- 5 ) over Dallas Carolina playing for first-round bye, Dallas looks to regroup after the severe ass-kicking they took last week.

Washington (- 3 ) over NY Giants This should be a good game, Washington looks to continue their late season surge. Washington in drivers seat for wild-card, and with the home crowd, they win this game.

Tampa Bay (- 3 ) over Atlanta Falcons quickly fading, Tampa looks to exploit the woeful Atlanta offense the same as Da Bears did last week.

San Francisco (+ 9 ) over St Louis One of these days, Alex Smith will throw a TD pass. Niners lose in a close one, setting up next weeks showdown with Houston.

Philadelphia (+ 1 ) over Arizona Arizona just might be one of the biggest disappointments this year. Next to Philly that is.

Seattle (- 7 ) over Indianapolis I was going to pick Seattle anyway, but after the death of Tony Dungys son, the Colts arent going to want to be in Seattle on Christmas Eve.

Denver (- 13 ) over Oakland Oakland would like nothing more than to knock Denver out of the #2 spot and the first-round bye. But, they dont have the team this year to do it.

Chicago (- 6 ) over Green Bay Green Bay just might be the worst team in the NFL now, and that says a lot when there is Houston and San Fran as the main competition. Chicago looked at least half-way decent on offense with Rex Grossman in the game.

Minnesota (+ 3 ) over Baltimore Baltimore used a season and a halfs worth of offense on Monday night. Vikings rebound from their loss to the Steelers.

New England (- 5 ) over NY Jets New England is on a roll at just the right time. At least the transit strike is over for the Jets fans going to the game, but having no beer sold at the game sucks.

My First Look Goodies (FLG) for the week are:

New Orleans (- 3 ) over Detroit

Tampa (- 3 ) over Atlanta

New England (- 5 ) over NY Jets
