2015 NFL Mock Draft, v2.0

April 16, 2015 by Steel Haven

Round 1

  1. Tampa Bay Buccaneers

QB Jameis Winston - Florida St

For weeks Winston has looked like a no-brainer at the top of the draft. He simply has better size, arm strength and most importantly accuracy than Mariota. Personal interviews reportedly went extremely well. Lately there have been rumblings that there may be reservations within the Glazer family about making Winston the face of the franchise. Given their current depth chart the only other realistic options are Mariota or a blockbuster trade involving a veteran quarterback.
    • Needs: QB, DE, OG, OT, S, RB
    • Other Options: QB M Mariota, trade down
    .
  2. Tennessee Titans

    QB Marcus Mariota - Oregon

Despite effusive praise from the front office and coaching staff Zach Mettenberger looks more like a solid career backup than legitimate starter. Will Ken Whisenhunt and coordinator Jason Michael be willing to tailor their offense to the uniquely skilled Mariota? If not then trading down with a team willing to commit fully to Mariota is the best, most realistic option.
    • Needs: QB, RT/G, RB, NT/DE, S, ILB
    • Hope might be available: QB J Winston
    • Other Options: DE/DT L Williams, trade down
    .
  3. Jacksonville Jaguars

    DE/OLB Dante Fowler - Florida

Jared Odrick was signed to play 5-technique end in Gus Bradley's defense. What's still missing is a pass rusher to fill the hybrid LEO position. Fowler is a versatile, explosive edge presence with a solid frame and long arms. He looks like a perfect fit.
    • Needs: DE/OLB, FS, RB, C, MLB, WR
    • Other Options: WR A Cooper, WR K White, DE/DT L Williams
    .
  4. Oakland Raiders

    DT Leonard Williams - USC

Dan Williams was signed to play on the nose. Williams fits beside him as a penetrating 3-technique to provide interior pressure. There are obviously worse ideas than taking the top non-QB available regardless of position with talent desperately needed on both sides of the ball.
    • Needs: DE, WR, RT/G, DT, CB, S
    • Hope might be available: DE D Fowler
    • Other Options: DE V Beasley, WR A Cooper, WR K White
    .
  5. Washington Redskins

    OLB Vic Beasley - Clemson

Brian Orakpo left via free agency. Replacement Trent Murphy is more of a steady presence, not an explosive playmaker off the edge. Depth is non-existent. Beasley provides athleticism and burst despite a lack of prototypical length.
    • Needs: RT/G, LB, S, CB, RB, WR
    • Hope might be available: OLB D Fowler
    • Other Options: WR A Cooper, RT/G B Scherff, WR J White, trade down
    .
  6. New York Jets

    WR Amari Cooper - Alabama

New GM Mike Maccagnan did a solid job filling holes in free agency. Clearly the biggest need remains quarterback, unfortunately addressing the situation will not be easy unless Mariota falls into their laps. That seems unlikely given the dire need at quarterback of other teams. Even after dealing for Brandon Marshall taking a receiver to compliment him and Eric Decker is not out of the question. Cooper is a polished, experienced route runner with excellent athleticism. Adding more weapons for Geno Smith and/or Ryan Fitzpatrick couldn't hurt, although it might not help.
    • Needs: QB, RT/G, OLB, RB, S, WR
    • Hope might be available: OLB V Beasley, OLB D Fowler, QB M Mariota
    • Other Options: OLB R Gregory, RT/G B Schreff, WR K White, trade up/down
    .
  7. Chicago Bears

WR Kevin White - West Virginia

They have bigger needs on defense and the offensive line even after trading Brandon Marshall. As said before there are worse ideas than a team lacking talent taking the best player available within reason. White is a somewhat raw former JUCO transfer that exploded on the field his senior season and then put up almost unfathomable speed/agility numbers at the combine given his size.
    • Needs: S, RT/G, NT/DE, LB, WR, CB
    • Hope might be available: OLB V Beasley, WR A Cooper
    • Other Options: OLB R Gregory, RT/G B Schreff, NT D Shelton
    .
  8. Atlanta Falcons

    OLB/DE Randy Gregory - Nebraska

Pass rush must be improved. Gregory could have gone higher before testing positive for marijuana at the combine. He might drop farther of course, but this draft is just too shallow to ignore his skills. Gregory has all the right attributes to be groomed as the hybrid LEO in the scheme of new head man Dan Quinn.
    • Needs: DE/OLB, RB, C/G, FS, TE, MLB
    • Hope might be available: OLB/DE V Beasley
    • Other Options: OLB/DE B Dupree, RT/G B Schreff, trade down
    .
  9. New York Giants

    T/G Brandon Scherff - Iowa

Repeated failures to upgrade the offensive line has somewhat hamstrung their collection of explosive skill position talent. Schreff displayed his toughness playing the week after surgery for a torn meniscus last season. He is a brawling run blocker with the hands and quick feet to hold his own in pass coverage. Looks like an immediate starter either inside or at right tackle.
    • Needs: S, RT/G, DE, DT, LB, WR
    • Hope might be available: WR A Cooper, DE R Gregory, WR K White
    • Other Options: S L Collins, DE B Dupree, WR D Parker, DT D Shelton, trade down
    .
  10. St. Louis Rams

OT Ereck Flowers - Miami FL

Might need to find four new starting offensive linemen with Jake Long, Scott Wells, Davin Joseph and Joseph Barksdale all probably gone for various reasons. Only Barksdale was more than adequate last year, he is a free agent that could still possibly return. Flowers is a mauler with light feet and surprising athleticism. He can take over immediately on the right side or perhaps even inside while at least providing insurance on the left side. He possesses a mean streak and will need to work on playing more under control.
    • Needs: C, OT, OG, WR, CB, MLB
    • Hope might be available: WR A Cooper, T/G B Scherff, WR K White
    • Other Options: G/T L Collins, WR D Parker, CB T Waynes
    .
  11. Minnesota Vikings

    WR DeVante Parker - Louisville

Nothing wrong with adding more weapons for Teddy Bridgewater even after trading for Mike Wallace. Parker is especially intriguing considering he played with Bridgewater at Louisville. Despite needing polish as a route runner he has the speed to stretch the field and the size to be a weapon in the red zone.
    • Needs: CB, OT/G, MLB, S, WR, RB
    • Hope might be available: WR A Cooper, OT E Flowers, WR K White
    • Other Options: G/T L Collins, S L Collins, CB T Waynes
    .
  12. Cleveland Browns

    OLB Bud Dupree - Kentucky

Mike Pettine's scheme relies on edge pressure to allow the corners to play press coverage. Paul Kruger provides a pass rush from one side. On the other Barkevious Mingo has struggled to get to the quarterback and Jabaal Sheard was allowed to leave for Foxboro. By the end of last season Dupree's 23.5 career sacks were the most by any active SEC player. His incredible athleticism was on display at the combine with a 42" vertical leap and 4.56 40.
    • Needs: QB, WR, OLB, NT/DE, TE, RT
    • Hope might be available: OT E Flowers, WR D Parker
    • Other Options: OLB S Ray, NT D Shelton, trade up
    .
  13. New Orleans Saints

    OLB Shane Ray - Missouri

Resigned Parys Haralson is a limited run defender and free agent acquisition Anthony Spencer is basically on his last legs opposite Junior Galette. Ray has the explosiveness to immediately contribute as a pass rusher in sub-packages plus the overall athleticism to eventually develop an all-around game.
    • Needs: OLB, OG, WR, TE, CB, ILB
    • Hope might be available: OLB B Dupree, WR D Parker
    • Other Options: G/T L Collins, CB T Waynes
    .
  14. Miami Dolphins

CB Trae Waynes - Michigan St

Waynes has the athleticism and experience to play one-on-one press coverage outside. He should be able to step in immediately opposite Brent Grimes allowing free agent signee Brice McCain to play in the slot.
    • Needs: OG, CB, WR, S, OLB, DT
    • Hope might be available: WR D Parker
    • Other Options: G/T L Collins, S L Collins, WR B Perriman, DT D Shelton
    .
  15. San Francisco 49ers

    G/T La'el Collins - LSU

Departure of Mike Iupati leaves a hole in the interior offensive line that recently signed stopgap Erik Pears can't fill adequately. The thick, powerful Collins has long arms and surprising quickness. He should be able to step in immediately inside with the skills to eventually move back to tackle, perhaps even on the left side.
    • Needs: ILB, OG, DE, WR, CB, OLB
    • Hope might be available: WR D Parker, CB T Waynes
    • Other Options: DE A Armstead, ILB E Kendricks, WR B Perriman
    .
  16. Houston Texans

    DE Arik Armstead - Oregon

Gamble on a high upside project to create mismatch problems on the same line as JJ Watt. Recently signed Jared Crick is mostly a steadying presence at the line of scrimmage, aging Vince Wilfork a two down run stuffer. Louis Nix is the only other line depth and Wilfork was signed because of fears about his ability to ever contribute. Armstead is a physical freak still developing as a football player. His improvement from 2013 to 2014 was eye opening. Still, the team that drafts him will need to be patient.
    • Needs: QB, ILB, WR, OLB, C/G, DE
    • Hope might be available: G/T L Collins, WR D Parker, OLB S Ray
    • Other Options: ILB E Kendricks, WR B Perriman
    .
  17. San Diego Chargers

    NT Danny Shelton - Washington

Finished 28th last season in rushing defense. Nose tackle position completely lacking in talent. Shelton has been a little overrated in the draft process. Talk about his penetrating ability and push may be a little over stated. He can definitely be a difference maker as a huge, interior run stuffer.
    • Needs: RB, NT, G/C, WR, OLB, OT
    • Hope might be available: G/T L Collins, OLB S Ray
    • Other Options: NT M Brown, RB M Gordon, OT A Peat, WR B Perriman
    .
  18. Kansas City Chiefs

    CB Jalen Collins - LSU

Only sure thing at corner is Sean Smith and he could be facing a DUI suspension. Phillip Gaines has the upside to develop into a stellar running mate. After them the roster is painfully thin. Collins surprisingly came out early after starting only 10 games in his college career. His physical skills are so eye popping that he could get picked in the top 20 anyway.
    • Needs: C/G, CB, OT, ILB, WR, DE
    • Hope might be available: T/G L Collins, CB T Waynes
    • Other Options: DE/NT M Brown, OT A Peat, ILB E Kendricks, WR B Perriman
    .
  19. Cleveland Browns (from Buffalo)

    NT/DE Malcom Brown - Texas

Plan is too move Phil Taylor back to the nose after finishing dead last in the league against the run. Finding an upgrade may be the more prudent course. Brown is built like a prototypical nose tackle and has room to grow as a football player. Mature off the field with a wife and two children which might appeal to a franchise that has repeatedly chosen immature problem causers.
    • Hope might be available: DE E Armstead, T/G L Collins
    • Other Options: OT A Peat, WR B Perriman
    .
  20. Philadelphia Eagles

    S Landon Collins - Alabama

Malcolm Jenkins needs a running mate after Nate Allen was allowed to leave in free agency following a down season. Collins is the only game in town in an incredibly weak safety class. He excels against the run and possesses the physicality to cover TEs and backs.
    • Needs: WR, S, OLB, CB, OG, DE
    • Hope might be available: DE A Armstead, CB J Collins
    • Other Options: CB B Jones, WR B Perriman
    .
  21. Cincinnati Bengals

    OT Andrus Peat - Stanford

Andrew Whitworth and Andre Smith are both free agents after the season. Whitworth could conceivably move inside. Peat has a monstrous frame and surprising agility. He is a better pass blocker than run blocker despite his size and could slide a bit due to fears he lacks a nasty streak.
    • Needs: DT, DE, OT, WR, LB, C
    • Hope might be available: DT/DE E Armstead
    • Other Options: DT E Goldman, WR B Perriman
    .
  22. Pittsburgh Steelers

    CB Byron Jones - UConn

There is no hiding corner as a desperate need. Ike Taylor has mercifully retired, he wouldn't have been back anyway. Almost no team would have been hurt this badly by losing a mediocre talent like Brice McCain in free agency. Cortez Allen face planted after signing a big money extension. Having just turned 30 William Gay is easily the top corner on the roster despite always being best suited to a role in the slot. Antwon Blake has fourth corner upside. Jones was flying under the radar after missing the final 5 games of the season with a shoulder injury. He is smart and instinctive on the field. A team captain with a reputation as a leader on and off the field. Jones possesses prototypical size and is flying up draft boards while displaying shocking athletic skills including a best ever broad jump (12'3") at the combine.
    • Needs: CB, OLB, S, TE, NT/DE, RT/G
    • Hope might be available: CB J Collins, S L Collins, OLB S Ray
    • Other Options: CB Johnson, CB/S E Rowe
    .
  23. Detroit Lions

DT Eddie Goldman - Florida St

Ndamukong Suh, Nick Fairley and CJ Mosley are all gone. Trading for aging Haloti Ngata at least fills one spot in the short term. Despite his size Ngata is not a one dimensional two gap nose having often played 3-technique in Baltimore's hybrid defense. Adding the physically imposing Goldman beside him would make a repeat as the number one rated run defense a possibility.
    • Needs: DT, G/C, RT, RB, CB, WR
    • Hope might be available: DT M Brown, OT A Peat
    • Other Options: RB M Gordon, OT TJ Clemmings, OL C Erving
    .
  24. Arizona Cardinals

    RB Melvin Gordon - Wisconsin

Bruce Arians would reportedly like to implement more of a power running game to take pressure of Carson Palmer and the defense. Andre Ellington simply does not have the size to hold up as an every down back. Gordon is second all-time in FBS career and single game rushing yards. Pass catching is reportedly improving although fumbling is an issue. All things being equal may not be quite as good a prospect as Todd Gurley. The differentiator is Gordon's ability to stay on the field.
    • Needs: OLB, ILB, NT/DE, RB, CB, S
    • Hope might be available: NT/DE E Goldman, CB B Jones
    • Other Options: RB T Gurley, ILB E Kendricks, OLB O Odighizuwa
    .
  25. Carolina Panthers

    OT TJ Clemmings - Pitt

Cam Newton is in big trouble if either of newly signed Michael Oher or Jonathan Martin are on the field very often. Clemmings is a former top HS basketball player that was originally a top defensive end recruit. He moved to right tackle his final two season. While raw and needing technical refinement, he actually has the athleticism to play on the left side.
    • Needs: OT, WR, DE, SS, CB, RB
    • Hope might be available: S L Collins, OT A Peat
    • Other Options: OT TJ Humphries, DE O Odighizuwa, WR B Perriman
    .
  26. Baltimore Ravens

    WR Breshad Perriman - UCF

Loss of Torrey Smith in free agency leaves a rag tag collection of third and fourth receivers opposite aged Steve Smith. Perriman would immediately provide a deep threat with the upside to develop into a franchise receiver. He has size, speed and bloodlines as the son of former NFLer Brett Perriman.
    • Needs: WR, CB, RB, TE, S, OLB/DE
    • Hope might be available: CB B Jones, RB M Gordon
    • Other Options: RB T Gurley, CB K Johnson, OLB/DE O Odighizuwa, CB/S E Rowe
    .
  27. Dallas Cowboys

    RB Todd Gurley - Georgia

A swing for the fences to replace DeMarco Murray. Gurley has a rare combination of speed and power. Probably the most complete back to enter the league in recent memory. Durability is only issue. Missed three games in 2013 with sprained ankle. Suspended first five games in 2014 for breaking NCAA rules and then tore his ACL in November. Short term future remains cloudy. Could conceivably need to begin season on PUP list.
    • Needs: RB, CB, DT, S, OLB, G/C
    • Hope might be available: DT E Goldman, RB M Gordon, CB B Jones
    • Other Options: OL C Erving, CB K Johnson, CB/S E Rowe, OLB S Thompson
    .
  28. Denver Broncos

OL Cameron Erving - Florida St

Lines on both side of the ball need a lot of work. Protecting rapidly aging Peyton Manning takes precedence in the short term. Trading for Gino Gradkowski does little to solve issue at the pivot. Losing Orlando Franklin further weakens the interior offensive line. The versatile Erving stared at DT as a freshman before switching to LT as an immediate starter for 2 season, then played center as a senior due to injuries.
    • Needs: G/C, FS, RT, NT, TE, ILB
    • Hope might be available: OT TJ Clemmings, NT E Goldman
    • Other Options: OT DJ Humprhies, CB K Johnson, CB/S E Rowe, TE M Williams
    .
  29. Indianapolis Colts

    CB/S Eric Rowe - Utah

Rowe switched to corner as a senior after starting three seasons at free safety. His stock has improved arguably more than any other player except Byron Jones in the draft process not just because of his combination of size, speed and agility. He displayed coverage ability, physicality in run support and even aggressiveness on special teams as a versatile four year starter.
    • Needs: S, G/C, RT, ILB, CB, RB
    • Hope might be available: OL C Erving, OT TJ Clemmings
    • Other Options: OT DJ Humphries, CB K Johnson, ILB B McKinney
    .
  30. Green Bay Packers

CB Kevin Johnson - Wake Forest

Lost Tramon Williams and Davon House in free agency. Johnson has flown a bit under the radar after starting 41 games at perhaps the worst program in a big 5 conference. Limited in run support due to a slight frame despite possessing a tough, aggressive nature. Might be best suited in the slot at the next level.
    • Needs: ILB, CB, NT/DE, TE, OLB, RT/G
    • Hope might be available: CB/S E Rowe
    • Other Options: ILB E Kendricks, OLB O Odighizuwa, TE M Williams
    .
  31. New Orleans Saints (from Seattle)

    WR Dorial Green-Beckham - Oklahoma

A risky high upside weapon for Drew Brees needed because of the trades of Jimmy Graham and Kenny Stills. Green-Beckham had a troubled stay at Missouri after being the top prospect in the country coming out of HS. Arrested twice for marijuana related offenses, finally getting thrown off the team after being investigated for burglary and assault. He was ultimately not charged in that case. Failed in bid to play immediately after transfer to Oklahoma, then came out early anyway after sitting out the season. Lacks refinement in part due to limited experience. Size, athleticism and upside not an issue. Fairly or unfairly could be hurt by Josh Gordon debacle.
    • Hope might be available: CB K Johnson
    • Other Options: T/G J Fisher, OLB O Odighizuwa, CB M Peters, TE M Williams
    .
  32. New England Patriots

    CB Marcus Peters - Washington

Darrelle Revis got his ring and left for the money. On tape Peters arguably looked like the most talented of any defensive back in this draft. Then he tested unexpectedly poorly at the combine. He did not get along with the new coaching staff at Washington and was thrown off the team in early November. A drop to the bottom of the first round or even to the second day is certainly not out of the question.
    • Needs: CB, OG, WR, DT, RB, S
    • Hope might be available: WR D Green-Beckham, RB T Gurley
    • Other Options: OG AJ Cann, T/G J Fisher, WR J Strong

Round 2

  1. Tennessee Titans - OT DJ Humphries - Florida
    Lewan needs a running mate.
  2. Tampa Bay Buccaneers - DE Owamagbe Odighizuwa - UCLA
Lovie's cover 2 requires pressure from the front 4.
  3. Oakland Raiders - WR Jaelen Strong - Arizona St
Speed on the edge to help open up field for Carr.
  4. Jacksonville Jaguars - MLB Eric Kendricks - UCLA
Undersized, rangy every down backer. Perfect for Quinn's scheme.
  5. New York Jets - OLB Eli Harold - Virginia
Upgrade needed over aging Pace, disappointing Coples.
  6. Washington Redskins - T/G Jake Fisher - Oregon
Struck out trying to add Bulaga, Parnell, Newton to play RT.
  7. Chicago Bears - DE Preston Smith - Mississippi St
Long frame with excellent burst. A fit for Fangio's scheme.
  8. New York Giants - LB/S/RB Shaq Thompson - Washington
Versatile. Provides speed on weak side, ability to cover TEs, perhaps even RB depth.
  9. St. Louis Rams - WR Phillip Dorsett, Miami FL
Deep with Austin, Britt, Bailey, Quick. Still looking for a true difference maker.
  10. Atlanta Falcons - TE Maxx Williams - Minnesota
Finally replacing Gonzalez could only help Ryan.
  11. Cleveland Browns - WR Nelson Agholor - USC
Bowe and Hartline are short term stopgaps at best.
  12. New Orleans Saints - CB Ron Darby - Florida St
Agile slot corner compliments Lewis, newly signed Browner.
  13. Minnesota Vikings - CB/S Quinten Rollins - Miami OH
Raw. Started 4 years at PG, earned MAC DPOY honors in only football season.
  14. San Francisco 49ers - ILB Benardrick McKinney - Mississippi St
Retirements of Willis, Borland leaves a huge hole in defense's middle.
  15. Miami Dolphins - OG AJ Cann - South Carolina
Experienced 51 game starter should be able to step in immediately.
  16. San Diego Chargers - RB Duke Johnson - Miami FL
Mathews is gone, Oliver not an every down back.
  17. Kansas City Chiefs - WR Devin Smith - Ohio St
Maclin and Wilson provide some hope, more help is needed. .
  18. Buffalo Bills

    NT/DE Jordan Phillips - Oklahoma

Expected to switch back to a 3-4 with Rex Ryan at the helm after a single season predominately lining up in a 4-3. Marcell Darius and Kyle Williams will occupy two defensive line spots. A work in progress, Phillips has the bulk to play on the nose and length to line up as a 5-technique. On the field he's shown surprising athleticism, although at the combine he did not test as well as most expected.
    • Needs: QB, RT, ILB, S, NT/DE, OLB
    .
  19. Houston Texans - OLB Danielle Hunter - LSU
Clowney remains a huge question mark, Mercilus better against the run.
  20. Philadelphia Eagles - WR Sammie Coates - Auburn
Boom or bust big play threat requires refinement.
  21. Cincinnati Bengals - DT Carl Davis - Iowa
    Peko in sharp decline.
  22. Detroit Lions - RB Tevin Coleman - Indiana
Bell returning from Achilles injury, Riddick a one dimensional pass catcher.
  23. Arizona Cardinals - DE Mario Edwards - Florida St
Provides intriguing athletic upside front 7 currently does not possess. .
  24. Pittsburgh Steelers

    OLB Nate Orchard - Utah

Clearly lack explosiveness on the edge. James Harrison and Arthur Moats were resigned out of desperation. Former first rounder Jarvis Jones has 3 career sacks in 2 seasons. Orchard currently is a one-dimensional pass rusher with only a single season of top production. Should be able to contribute immediately as an edge rusher in sub-packages. Has the athleticism to develop into an every down 3-4 OLB. Seems to have a passion for the game unlike recently retired Jason Worilds.
    • Others: DE X Cooper, DE M Edwards, OLB D Hunter, CB/S Q Rollins
    .
  25. Carolina Panthers - WR/TE Devin Funchess - Michigan
Size would cause matchup nightmares with Benjamin also on the field.
  26. Baltimore Ravens - RB Jay Ajayi - Boise St
Versatile. Has no outstanding single trait.
  27. Denver Broncos - DT Michael Bennett - Ohio St
Phillips' defense requires one gap penetrator lined up over center.
  28. Dallas Cowboys - DT Grady Jarrett - Clemson
Intense, hard worker. Powerfully built despite being slightly undersized.
  29. Indianapolis Colts - ILB Stephone Anthony - Clemson
Would provide desperately needed speed inside.
  30. Green Bay Packers - ILB Denzel Perryman - Miami FL
Got rid of Jones, Hawk, Lattimore. Used Matthews inside last season with them. .
  31. Seattle Seahawks

DT/DE Xavier Cooper - Washington St

Fast riser tested very well at the combine. Solid build. Would provide depth at both 3-technique and 5-technique.
    • Needs: WR, CB, DT, G/C, DE, S
    .
  32. New England Patriots - RB Ameer Abdullah - Nebraska
Vereen and Ridley are gone, Blount and Gray too one dimensional.

Round 3

  1. Tampa Bay Buccaneers - G Laken Tomlinson - Duke
Right side of the offensive line a dumpster fire.
  2. Tennessee Titans - RB David Johnson - Northern Iowa
Greene's a replacement level plugger, Sankey already looks like a bust.
  3. Jacksonville Jaguars - C Hroniss Grasu - Oregon
Bowanko failed trying to replace Meester.
  4. Oakland Raiders - DE/OLB Hau'oli Kikaha - Washington
Relentless pass rusher lacking top size, athleticism. Has suffered a pair of torn ACLs.
  5. Washington Redskins - CB PJ Williams - Florida St
April DUI arrest added to leaving scene of a crime in October a concern.
  6. New York Jets - RT/G Ali Marpet - Hobart NY
Division III standout hung with big boys at Senior Bowl.
  7. Chicago Bears - S Damarious Randall - Arizona St
Veteran signee Rolle needs a running mate. New DC Fangio covets safeties.
  8. St. Louis Rams - OG Tre Jackson - Florida St
Need all the offensive linemen they can get.
  9. Atlanta Falcons - RB TJ Yeldon - Alabama
Must replace Jackson, Freeman best suited as change of pace.
  10. New York Giants - S James Sample - Louisville
Have yet to replace Rolle, had no one beside him.
  11. New Orleans Saints - TE Clive Walford - Miami FL
Competition for Hill to replace some of Graham's production.
  12. Minnesota Vikings - RB Jeremy Langford - Michigan St
Purple Jesus still wants out, isn't getting any younger.
  13. Cleveland Browns - QB Brett Hundley - UCLA
Will they ever succeed in finding a franchise QB?
  14. New Orleans Saints (from Miami) - OT Cedric Ogbuehi - Texas A&M
Multiple picks allow them to gamble on injured player with tremendous upside.
  15. San Francisco 49ers - DE Henry Anderson, Stanford
McDonald released due to off field issues, Smith turns 36 early in season.
  16. Kansas City Chiefs - ILB Paul Dawson - TCU
Johnson trying to come back from torn Achilles, depth chart behind him is weak.
  17. Buffalo Bills - OT Donovan Smith - Penn St
Ryan expected to utilize ground-and-pound offense, needs linemen.
  18. Houston Texans - WR Rashad Greene - Florida St
Shorts doesn't offer much replacing franchise stalwart Johnson.
  19. San Diego Chargers - OG Arie Kouandjio - Alabama
Rivers needs protection up the middle.
  20. Philadelphia Eagles - CB Alex Carter - Stanford
Probably should have penciled in Ekpre-Olomu given Kelly's love of Oregon alums.
  21. Cincinnati Bengals - WR Tre McBride - William & Mary
Adding speed to receiver corps not a bad idea even with Jones returning.
  22. Arizona Cardinals - OLB Lorenzo Mauldin - Louisville
Pass rush needs to be addressed, Woodley clearly not the answer. .
  23. Pittsburgh Steelers

DE/DT Marcus Hardison - Arizona St

Exploded in the second half of 2014 replacing Will Sutton after a relatively non-descript 2013 as a highly regarded JUCO transfer. A bit miscast as a 4-3 end in that season. Bulky frame with long arms. Has a knack for getting to the QB, needs work at the point of attack. Gamble on huge upside. At the least should provide interior pass rush in sub-packages. There is next to nothing behind starters Cam Heyward and Stepon Tuitt which is the only reason Cam Thomas is still on the roster. Being able to cut him would be a further benefit to this pick.
    • Others: DE H Anderson, WR C Conley, CB A Carter, S D Smith, TE C Walford
    .
  24. Detroit Lions - OT Daryl Williams - Oklahoma
Line lacks depth especially with RT Waddle coming off a torn ACL.
  25. Carolina Panthers - DE ZaDarius Smith - Kentucky
