.1.Indianapolis Colts9-0Not winning pretty. Just winning. First team ever to start consecutive seasons with 9 straight wins.
.2.Denver Broncos7-2Winning depite Plummer, not because of him. A couple of losses could lead to Cutler getting an opportunity.
.5.San Diego Chargers7-2Rivers came of age leading a 21 point comeback in Cincinnati which included scoring 42 in the second half. Yes, you read that right. The Chargers scored 7 touchdowns on their last 8 possessions. Tomlinson got into the endzone 4 more times. He has scored 15 touchdowns in his last 5 games. The best 5 game stretch in history.
.6.Chicago Bears8-1Took firm control of the NFC on Sunday night in the Meadowlands. Got back in the game when Jones converted a 3rd and 22 on a draw with under 2 minutes remaining in the half. Grossman finished off the drive with a touchdown to Bradley that got them within 3. Then after taking a lead Hester put the game away with a 108 yard return of a missed field goal in the fourth quarter as a majority of Giants gave up on the play.
.7.Baltimore Ravens7-2McNair continues to win them games late that they wouldn't have won without him.
.3.New England Patriots6-3Lost consecutive games for the first time in 57 tries. The record of 60 games without consecutive defeats was set by the Niners from 1995 to 1999.
.12.Seattle Seahawks6-3Hanging in with Wallace and Morris. Should get Hasselbeck and Alexander back as soon as this coming week. Although Alexander's foot has taken a lot longer to heal than expected.
.4.New York Giants6-3Coming into Sunday night's game injuries to Strahan, Umenyiora, Tuck, Arrington, Short and Toomer were a major issue. Petitgout's broken leg only makes matters worse.
.8.New Orleans Saints6-3Everyone saw the highlight of Bush leaping into the endzone for his first pro touchdown. What they didn't show was Bush fumbling with a 24-17 lead. The Steelers scored on the next play and the momentum had turned.
.14.Dallas Cowboys5-4Romo continues to provide a spark. Not to mention solid play.
.15.Carolina Panthers5-4Remain an enigma. At least they turned things around in the second half on Monday night to come out on top in a must win game against the struggling Buccaneers.
.16.Philadelphia Eagles5-4Reid coached teams have a history of playing well after the bye.
.19.New York Jets5-4The pupil returned home to beat his former master.
.9.Jacksonville Jaguars5-4Playoff hopes take a hit with their second loss to the Texans in 22 days.
.10.Atlanta Falcons5-4Vick's breakout performances against the Steelers and Bengals were quickly forgotten after very bad days versus the Lions and Browns.
.11.Kansas City Chiefs5-4Huard's poor play in Miami opens the door for Green's eventual return.
.13.Cincinnati Bengals4-5Coming unglued. Blew first half leads of 21-0 and 28-7 in a must win game despite huge days from Palmer and Ocho Cinco. Late drop by a wide open Henry in the endzone pretty much sums up their season of missed opportunities.
.22.Green Bay Packers4-5Favre needs 12 touchdown passes to break Marino's career record of 420.
.23.Pittsburgh Steelers3-6Parker became the first back since Sanders in 1997 to have a pair of runs each for over 70 yards in the same game.
.25.Miami Dolphins3-6Last year finished with 7 straight wins. Now on a 2 game winning streak. Really need to start getting hot sooner.
.24.San Fransisco 49ers4-5The defense has suddenly become tough to score upon. Playing the struggling Vikings and Lions undoubtedly helped.
.17.Minnesota Vikings4-5Scored an anemic 27 total points during their 3 game losing streak.
.18.St. Louis Rams4-5Mired in a 4 game losing streak. Latest blow was a season ending injury to Pace.
.21.Buffalo Bills3-6Losman has been sacked 9 times and completed only 17 passes in the last 2 weeks combined. Strangely enough that resulted in a win and a 1 point loss to the Colts. Who needs a passing game?
.29.Cleveland Browns3-6Continue to play hard for Crennel. Margin for error remains small because of the lack of home run hitters on offense.
.30.Houston Texans3-6Have the Jaguars' number.
.20.Washington Redskins3-6Offensive ineptitude finally got Brunell sent to the bench. Former first round pick Campbell will get an opportunity after sitting for a year and a half.
.28.Tennessee Titans2-7Young's development is a bright spot.
.26.Tampa Bay Buccaneers2-7Talent level has deteriorated precipitously under Allen and Gruden.
.27.Detriot Lions2-7Williams needs to quit guaranteeing victory.
.31.Oakland Raiders2-7Resurgent Sapp leads a surprisingly stellar defense. Walter and the offensive line are just so bad.
.32.Arizona Cardinals1-8Leinart is suffering growing pains after a hot start. Not realy a surprise.
