Players in bold red took official visits to Pittsburgh
Players in italics red met with the Steelers at the combine, a pro day or post season all star game

  Round 1 Round 2 Round 3
DT Jonathan Allen, Alabama (DE)
*Malik McDowell, Michigan St (DE)
Chris Wormley, Michigan (DE)
Larry Ogunjobi, Charlotte
Dalvin Tomlinson, Alabama
Montravius Adams, Auburn
*Nazair Jones, North Carolina (DE)
*Devin Godchaux, LSU
Jaleel Johnson, Iowa
*Vincent Taylor, Oklahoma St
*Caleb Brantley, Florida 1
1 Brantley was charged with Misdemeanor battery for punching a woman in a bar in Gainesville. Timing makes this an even bigger issue. Mixon for example despite graphic evidence of his transgression albeit as at least a slightly better all around prospect has had time to be vetted and could still go as high as the 2nd round. Brantley without time for teams to investigate the situation appears likely to go undrafted. He is being listed here at the end of the 3rd round as a placeholder. Based on talent he was originally going to be listed as the 4th DT in the middle of the 2nd round.

Jarrad Davis, Florida (OLB)
*Zach Cunningham, Vanderbilt (OLB)
*Raekwon McMillan, Ohio St
*Anthony Walker, Northwestern
Kendell Beckwith, LSU
2 Foster and Peppers gave diluted samples for their drug tests at the combine. This is considered a failed test. Both have claimed illness caused them to hydrate at a high level to aid in their workouts. The real issue is that the failed tests put the players into stage 1 of the drug program. The extent to which a diluted sample will affect the draft stock of Foster and/or Peppers is unknown. Foster will still more than likely be a top 20 pick and if Peppers drops out of the first round he should hear his name called early on Friday night.

Ahkello Witherspoon, Colorado
Jalen Myrick, Minnesota
Cameron Sutton, Tennessee
Shaquill Griffin, Central Florida
*Gareon Conley, Ohio St 3
3 Reports of Conley being accused of sexual assault in Cleveland came out on Monday. No charges have been filed and the woman is reportedly not cooperating with police. Conley and his representatives have strongly denied the allegations. Any type of resolution by Thursday seems impossible. Police have yet to even speak with Conley. A couple of years ago possible first round OG Collins went undrafted when his name came up because of a relationship with a murder victim. Collins was not even a suspect, but his interview with police could not be scheduled until after the draft. Uncertainty regardless of culpability makes Conley being drafted seem highly unlikely. He is being listed here at the end of the 3rd round as a placeholder. Conley's stock had been soaring. He was originally going to be listed as the 2nd CB in the middle of the 1st round. Conley will no longer attend the draft which seems a prudent course.
