.1.New England Patriots9-0Signings of Moss and Stallworth plus trade for Welker continue to pay off.
.2.Indianapolis Colts7-1Will be even more upset about giving up a 10 point lead with less than 10 minutes remaining if they are playing in Foxboro in January.
.3.Dallas Cowboys7-1Victory in the Meadowlands this week will make them the clear favorite in the NFC.
.6.Pittsburgh Steelers6-2Officially put last year behind them by dominating their nemesis the Ravens. Roethlisberger joined Brady as the only quarterbacks this season to throw 5 touchdown passes in a half. A hip injury Big Ben suffered near the begining of the second half mercifully does not appear serious.
.5.Green Bay Packers7-1Won on the road with a short work week after a Monday night victory away from home. Always impressive.
.4.New York Giants6-2Their 6 game winning streak has come against opponents with a combined record of 13-36.
.7.Tennessee Titans6-2Have won 11 of their last 13.
.11.Detriot Lions6-2Producing turnovers and winning games. A sign of the apocalypse.
.18.New Orleans Saints4-4Brees is back.
.15.Cleveland Browns5-3Anderson picked a good time to be a restricted free agent.
.8.San Diego Chargers4-4Both Rivers and Tomlinson have regressed badly under the tutelage of Turner.
.9.Jacksonville Jaguars5-3Asking Gray to win 2 straight road games was just too much. In big trouble if Garrard can't come back for their must win game in Nashville.
.17.Tampa Bay Buccaneers5-4Graham is proving his worth.
.16.Washington Redskins5-3Needed overtime to recover from their Patriots induced hangover.
.10.Baltimore Ravens4-4Suffered the worst defeat of the Billick era in Pittsburgh.
.12.Kansas City Chiefs4-4LJ's foot injury will likely require them to turn to Holmes and Smith at RB. Perhaps for more than just a game or two. Think they would like to take back the deadline deal of Bennett to the Bucs?
.13.Seattle Seahawks4-4Alexander took the money, but didn't run.
.14.Carolina Panthers4-4Only have 7 total sacks this season. What happened to Peppers?
.22.Buffalo Bills4-4The exploits of Purple Jesus caused Lynch to be almost completely ignored even though he rushed for 153 yards and threw a touchdown pass.
.25.Houston Texans4-5Who'ld of thought that signing Rosenfels would be just as important an off season move as trading for Schaub?
.27.Minnesota Vikings3-5It's official. Purple Jesus is a god. Maybe not THE God. But a god.
.19.Arizona Cardinals3-5Warner is still useful in small doses, but as a full time starter leaves something to be desired. Remain in contention because their division is a bad joke.
.23.Chicago Bears3-5Fallen victim to the curse of the Super Bowl runner up.
.20.Denver Broncos3-5Ramsey replacing an injured Cutler could not hold on to the ball. Learning Cutler had not broken his tibia was very good news indeed.
.21.Philadelphia Eagles3-5Reid appears to have lost control of his team in addition to his family.
.24.Cincinnati Bengals2-6Losers of 12 of their last 16 games.
.30.Atlanta Falcons2-6Actually playing hard for Petrino despite all the bitching about his tough style.
.26.San Fransisco 49ers2-6Looks like the Patriots will have a top 5 pick.
.28.Oakland Raiders2-6McCown is just as bad as Culpepper. Maybe worse. Won't be easy to decide whether or not they should throw Russell to the wolves against a tough second half schedule. Especially since he didn't sign 'til after training camp ended.
.29.New York Jets1-8Took a 17-3 lead after 20 minutes and then got way too conservative. Nothing new.
.31.St. Louis Rams0-8Jackson is expected back after the bye which should help.
.32.Miami Dolphins0-8Need to see if Beck is the answer so they can decide whether to take Brohm, Woodson or Ryan.
