Playoff Bets (wildcard weekend)

January 04, 2012 by Steel Haven

I went out with a whimper in the regular season. Apropos. At least Tom Coughlin didn't let me down.

For wildcard weekend I'm going with both road teams in the AFC and both home teams in the NFC. I'm a sucker for Breesus, Coughlin and the AFC North.

home team in bold

Saturday

Cincinnati Bengals (+3.0) over Houston Texans

I fully expect the Bengals to win outright.

New Orleans Saints (-10.5) over Detriot Lions

The Saints are on a tear and I almost expect them and not the Packers to end up in the Super Bowl. Double digit spread be damned.

Sunday

New York Giants (-3.0) over Atlanta Falcons

Giants receivers and defensive line have gotten healthy at the right time. Eli Manning thrives under pressure. Can Matty Ice survive the pressure or will he melt?

Pittsburgh Steelers (-8.5) over Denver Broncos

Tebow has been exposed. The Steelers are limping into the playoffs, but overcoming adversity is a trait of Mike Tomlin coached teams.

Last Week

Denver Broncos (-3.5) over Kansas City Chiefs LOSS

San Francisco 49ers (-11.0) over St. Louis Rams LOSS

New York Giants (-3.0) over Dallas Cowboys WIN

Final regular season: 27-22-2   Best Bets: 5-11-1
