Hard Hat Award (Game #9, vs. KC)
Stiller LB Larry Timmons is the winner of the weekly Hard Hat Award, given to the Stiller player who best embodies the iron-tough, hard-as-steel attitude of the steel workers inside the blast furnace of a still mill.
Timmons had a stellar effort in the tight win over KC. He had 4 solos and 3 assists, and was all over the gridiron. He nabbed Charles at 3:51 1Q. he issued a blistering hit on Hillis for no gain, 3Q. Displayed his speed and athleticism by flashing over to nab Charles on a screen pass at 9:00 4Q. He then basically won the game with a superb pluck of an INT in OT, and then a good INT return to the KC 6 to set up the GW FG.
Few others were in consideration, given the overall slop of the effort. Ryan Clark did a lot of hitting in run support. Keisel had a very solid effort. That was about it.
Kudos to Timmons for winning the Hard Hat Award. Wear the Hard Hat proudly, Larry !
