Hard Hat Award (Game #7, @ Cinci)

Stiller LB James Jamie Harrison is the winner of the weekly Hard Hat Award, given to the Stiller player who best embodies the iron-tough, hard-as-steel attitude of the steel workers inside the blast furnace of a still mill.

The tough OLB had a solid game against the Bungals, helping to limit the vaunted Cinci offense to a mere 13 points in the Stiller victory.  He came up big, and tough, in the 2nd half, when the game was on the line and the defense needed some stops.

Late in the 3Q, on a 3rd & 10, Harrison hustled to the other side of the field on a short completion to TJ Housemanad, and limited this 3r d& 10 play to only 7 yards, thus forcing Cinci to go for it on 4th down.  Cinci did convert the 4th down, but nonetheless the 3rd down stop was a stellar, hustling, never-say-die type of play by Harrison that went totally unnoticed by the media but was greatly appreciated by the Hard Hat committee.  Lord knows, we Stiller fans have seen enough loafing, jaking, and jogging from various Stiller OLBs the past 10 years to fill up a 6-hour lowlight film, so it was more than refreshing to see this kind of grit and hustle.

In the 4Q, Cinci marched all the way to the Stiller 20, down by only 11 with over 3 minutes remaining.  Watson caught a short dumpoff to the Cinci right, and there Dirty Harry was again, hustling to the other side of the field to make a play on a ballcarrier.  This time, not only did Harrison make the stop, but he also stripped Watson and then recovered the fumble to seal the Stiller victory.  This play is the very epitome of what the Hard Hat Award is all about

Kudos to Harrison for winning the Hard Hat Award.   Wear the Hard Hat proudly, Jamie!
