.1.Indianapolis Colts5-0Lead the league in scoring defense giving up a miniscule 5.8 points per game. Interestingly enough they have dropped to 14th in scoring offense after leading the league last season.
.4.Pittsburgh Steelers3-1Dodged a bullet with the last second win in San Diego and the news that Roethlisberger did not tear any knee ligaments.
.6.Denver Broncos4-1Survived at home despite being outplayed by the Redskins. That's what good teams do.... Win even when they don't play their best.
.9.New England Patriots3-2The defending champions can't be written off as long as Belicheck and Brady are around.
.2.Philadelphia Eagles3-2The bye week comes at an opportune time after they looked battered and beaten while getting anihilated by the Cowboys.
.3.Atlanta Falcons3-2Schaub performed well, but this team just can't seem to win with Vick on the sidelines.
.12.Jacksonville Jaguars3-2Got the running game untracked after getting shut down the previous week.
.5.Cincinnati Bengals4-1Lost their first real test of the season.
.7.Tampa Bay Buccaneers4-1Can't afford to have Cadillac miss any more time.
.10.Washington Redskins3-1Gibbs was right to turn over the reins to Brunell.
.11.New York Giants3-1Eli Manning has a better quarterback rating and more touchdown passes than brother Peyton.
.13.Carolina Panthers3-2Got a much needed come from behind win in Arizona after the secondary was scorched in the first half.
.15.Seattle Seahawks3-2Hasselbeck didn't miss a beat with Jurevicus and Hackett replacing the injured Jackson and Engram.
.14.Kansas City Chiefs2-2Need to show defensive improvement coming off the bye.
.19.Dallas Cowboys3-2Hard team to figure out. Wins over Chargers and Eagles were impressive. Brutal losses to Redskins and Raiders along with the close last minute victory in San Fransisco defy explanation.
.8.San Diego Chargers2-3Facing an uphill battle. Have already lost 2 home games and the remaining schedule is tough to say the least.
.23.Buffalo Bills2-3Have yet to decide whether to stick with Holcomb or return to Losman even though Holcomb got them the win they so desperately needed.
.24.New York Jets2-3After taking part in only 6 practices Testeverde provided an efficient performance against the team that made him the first pick in the 1987 draft.
.16.St. Louis Rams2-3How will Vitt replacing the ailing Martz affect the sideline dynamic of this most dysfunctional of teams?
.27.Detriot Lions2-2Managed to even their record and take the lead in the NFC North even though Harrington threw for under 100 yards.
.21.Oakland Raiders1-3Schedule doesn't get any easier coming off the bye with the Chargers heading north in desperate need of a win.
.22.Minnesota Vikings1-3Decision to bring in Rhome and Fazio as consultants wasn't exactly a vote of confidence for the beleaguered Loney and Cottrell.
.28.Cleveland Browns2-2Put the game away late in the fourth quarter as Dilfer threw the 100th and 101st touchdown passes of his career.
.20.Miami Dolphins2-2Should be interesting to see how Williams and Brown handle the new time sharing arrangement.
.29.Tennessee Titans2-3Congratulations to Fisher for his 100th win and Walter Payton's son Jarrett for his first NFL TD.
.30.Green Bay Packers1-4Things are looking up a bit heading into the bye after they took out the frustrations of an 0-4 start by opening up a can of whoop-ass on the wandering, homeless Saints.
.17.New Orleans Saints2-3Don't expect the passing game to be able to overcome the season ending injury to McAllister. Brooks' current quarterback rating of 62.6 is lower than Bollinger (68.4), Rattay (70.3), Wright (69.9) and Boller (63.9).
.18.Baltimore Ravens1-3Completely lost their composure. Ended up with 21 penalties for 147 yards and had two players ejected. Just 1 more penalty and they could have tied the NFL single game record.
.26.Arizona Cardinals1-4Hamstrung by an inability to run the ball despite an explosive passing offense.
.25.Chicago Bears1-3Defenses inability to protect a lead in the fourth quarter against Dilfer is more of a concern than Orton's inability to light up the scoreboard.
.31.San Fransisco 49ers1-4Smith had a day to forget in his first start with 9 completions in 23 attempts for 74 yards and 4 interceptions.
.32.Houston Texans0-4Carr is on pace to be sacked 108 times. Switching offensive coordinators from Palmer to Pendry has not made the offensive line any better.
