To be the man, You've got to beat the man

These two teams have met twice already this season with mixed results

At the beginning of the season, I predicted that the Ravens reign would not last long, but I never imagined that the chance to end it would come at the hands of my beloved Steelers. My prognostications have been less than stellar this year, and up until a few days ago, I had a bad feeling in my gut about this game. Then I started thinking about the two prior match ups.

These two teams have met twice already this season with mixed results. The home team lost in both games. That however is about to change, because the one thing that was a constant in both games will not change. That constant has been the Steelers physical dominance in both previous match ups.

Sure the Steelers two week lay off, scares me a bit, but getting some players healthy is worth a little rust.Id look for a slow start, while we shake the rust off. Even if we get behind early, keep the faith. The Ravens will wear down over 4 quarters as our big boys pound on them.

In order to win, the Steelers will need to avoid the mistakes they inflicted upon themselves in the first match up. You rememberKris Brown slicing 3 kicks all to the right. What you might have forgotten was Troy Edwards two fumbles, and Mark Bruener missing a blocking assignment which allowed the Ravens to block a FG and rough up our kicker. Then there was the terrible special teams coverage.

Im not sure we have the coverage units problems corrected, but if we can avoid shooting ourselves in the foot, we should advance to the AFC Championship game.
