.1.Kansas City Chiefs10-1A victory over the hated Raiders is a reason for celebration in Kansas City no matter what the score or the records.
.2.Tennessee Titans9-2Will be tough to win the division with Volek should McNair be forced to miss any signifigant time, although the schedule is very favorable.
.3.Indianapolis Colts9-2Sleepwalked for 3 quarters before waking up. They should thank the Bills for letting them get away with it....
.4.New England Patriots9-2Winners of 7 straight needed 2 field goal attempts in overtime to get past the pesky Texans. A win is a win.
.6.Philadelphia Eagles8-3Playing the best football in the NFC.
.7.St. Louis Rams8-3Keep winning despite some very poor play from Bulger.
.10.Dallas Cowboys8-3Parcells seems to have this team winning almost entirely by the force of his will.
.5.Carolina Panthers8-3Still have a 3 game lead in the NFC South, but the loss in Dallas could cost them a bye.
.12.Miami Dolphins7-4Orange jerseys should be banned. At least the shade worn by the Dolphins and Browns.
.13.Green Bay Packers6-5Impressive running of Green, Davenport, and Fisher has taken pressure off Favre.
.14.Minnesota Vikings7-4Finally ended their 4 game losing streak. Of course beating the Lions at home is the pro equivalent of a top 25 team beating Rutgers.
.8.Seattle Seahawks7-4Fell out of first place by somehow blowing a 20 point second half lead and allowing the offensively challenged Ravens to score 45 points. The refs did make a huge mistake in the final minute, but a complete collapse by Rhodes' defense let the Ravens back in the game in the first place.
.15.Cincinnati Bengals6-5Playing a meaningful game in December for the first time in over a decade.
.9.Denver Broncos6-5Lost a home game to the Bears that they could not afford to lose. Not sure whether the fued between Shanahan and Gardner had anything to do with the outcome, but things seem to be getting ugly in Denver.
.17.Tampa Bay Buccaneers5-6Managed to keep their season alive. Lee came out of nowhere to replace Johnson's production.
.18.Baltimore Ravens6-5Didn't Robinson retire about 3 years ago? Wright had a career day. Can he repeat his performance? Doubtful, but you never know.
.11.San Fransisco 49ers5-6The entire NFC West seems to have alot of problems winning on the road.
.16.New Orleans Saints5-6Imploded in the first quarter at Philadelphia and never recovered. Could be the beginning of the end for Haslett in New Orleans.
.23.New York Jets4-7The highest ranked of eight teams at 4-7 after 11 weeks. Would have had a better record with Pennington playing all season so they get top billing among a fairly motley crew.
.24.Pittsburgh Steelers4-7Seemed like old times in Cleveland. Bell whacking ball carries. The defensive line pressuring the quarterback. The secondary getting turnovers. Bettis pounding an opponent in the second half. A wildly inconsistent passing performance from Stewart. Wait, forget that last part....
.20.Houston Texans4-7Taking the Patriots to overtime in New England with Banks replacing an injured Carr at quarterback is about as close as you can get in the NFL to a moral victory.
.19.Cleveland Browns4-7Davis is clueless.
.21.New York Giants4-7Lead the NFL in turnovers.
.22.Buffalo Bills4-7Henry showed incredible toughness playing on a broken leg. Unfortunately his teamates seem to have given up long ago.
.27.Chicago Bears4-7Making a habit of playing much better than expected in the most unlikely situations. I am quite frankly shocked they went to Denver and won.
.25.Washington Redskins4-7Spurrier has a better chance of being the coach of Auburn, Tennessee, or North Carolina next season than the Redskins.
.26.Detriot Lions3-8Have an 8-35 record in 3 years since Millen took over as GM after winning 9 the season before he was hired.
.28.Oakland Raiders3-8Apparently have not quit on Callahan despite previous suggestions to the contrary. Not sure if that will be enough to save his job or not....
.29.Atlanta Falcons2-9Blew a 21 point lead at home after McNair left due to injury a week after blowing a 17 point lead in New Orleans. Ouch.
.30.Jacksonville Jaguars2-9Leftwich has turned the ball over 18 times in his 8 starts.
.31.Arizona Cardinals3-8Continue to play hard for McGinnis, at least in the desert.
.32.San Diego Chargers2-9Cutting both Seau and Harrison was a major miscalculation.
