RnkLWTeamRecordComments
.1.Indianapolis Colts10-0Turning back into the team that everyone expected. The offense has been re-energized while the defense has started to spring some leaks.
.3.Denver Broncos8-2Have to prove they can win away from home with 4 of their last 6 games on the road.
.4.Seattle Seahawks8-2Victory over the Cowboys in week 7 gives them a further cushion in the race for home field advantage in the NFC.
.8.Dallas Cowboys7-3Thanksgiving day game will be their 3rd in 11 days.
.10.Jacksonville Jaguars7-3Beating the teams that they should beat. An easy schedule means that is all they have to do to make the playoffs.
.2.Pittsburgh Steelers7-3Maddox and overtime are not a good mix. This loss though goes way beyond Maddox. Too many penalties at inopportune times. Too many strange offensive playcalls. Not enough running room for Parker. Poor pass protection. An incredibly weird play as regulation was winding down when a catcheable ball thrown to Ward went through his hands, bounced off his chest, then hit his foot and popped into the air for an interception. And maybe worst of all.... Too many 3rd down conversions against. Especially versus a Boller run offense. All of this does not bode well for next week in Indianapolis. Even should Roethlisberger return.
.7.New England Patriots6-4Basically getting a free pass to the playoffs where no team is going to want to face them.
.5.Carolina Panthers7-3Hard to sustain drives while giving up 8 sacks.
.6.Cincinnati Bengals7-3Dropped to 1-3 against teams with a winning record.
.11.San Diego Chargers6-4Can not afford a misstep.
.12.New York Giants7-3Enter the make or break part of their schedule with games against the Seahawks, Cowboys and Chiefs in 3 of the next 4 weeks.
.13.Chicago Bears7-3Riding a 6 game winning streak. Victory over the Panthers was their first against a team with a winning record.
.14.Tampa Bay Buccaneers7-3Simms has led the offense to 66 points in the last 2 games.
.9.Atlanta Falcons6-4Consecutive home losses have turned them from the favorite in the NFC South into a team that will have to fight tooth and nail just to make the playoffs.
.15.Kansas City Chiefs6-4Johnson is quickly making the injured Holmes an afterthought.
.19.Minnesota Vikings5-5Won 3 straight since Culpepper went down for the season.
.22.Oakland Raiders4-6Turner gets revenge against his former employer.
.16.Washington Redskins5-5The 3-0 start is a distant memory.
.17.Philadelphia Eagles4-6Freefall continues with 4th straight loss.
.18.St. Louis Rams4-6Managed only 6 yards rushing at home against the Cardinals. Yes, you read that right.
.25.Baltimore Ravens3-7Showed signs of life against the Steelers. Whether that can be sustained or improved upon is the question. Getting Taylor more snaps might help.
.26.Cleveland Browns4-6Droughns is proving that he wasn't just a product of the offensive scheme in Denver.
.28.Arizona Cardinals3-7A sweet victory for Warner at the site of some of his greatest triumphs.
.20.Buffalo Bills4-6Winless on the road.
.21.Detriot Lions4-6Can ruin the Falcons season on Thanksgiving.
.23.Miami Dolphins3-7Saban has a lot of work to do.
.24.Green Bay Packers2-8The only team with a losing record that has managed to outscored their opponents on the season.
.29.Tennessee Titans2-8McNair never quits and Fisher has the rest of the team playing hard.
.27.New York Jets2-8In complete disarray.
.30.San Fransisco 49ers2-8Dorsey gives them the best chance to win now. Smith is the future based on draft position and salary. That means Smith plays if healthy.
.31.New Orleans Saints2-8A lost season.
.32.Houston Texans1-9Carr is too gun-shy to be effective. A change of scenery might be the only thing that can help, although improved offensive line play certainly wouldn't hurt.
