Hard Hat Award (Game #11, @ Clev )
In the game 11 beatdown of the Browns, Stiller OLB Jason Worilds is the winner of the weekly Hard Hat Award, given to the Stiller player who best embodies the iron-tough, hard-as-steel attitude of the steel workers inside the blast furnace of a still mill.
Starting at LOLB in place of Big LaMarr Woodley, Worilds was literally a mad bull in this game, running around and over anyone in his way. He continually stormed into the Clev backfield, harassing and hurrying the QB. This, my friends, is what the OLB spot should be doing in this defense, and it’s what Hard Hat football is all about.
Of course, as often happens in a winning game, many other players were up for consideration. Troy Pola had a strong game, and forced 2 fumbles. Will Allen came out of nowhere with a stellar, hard-nosed effort. The OL rarely allowed any pressure, and Ben was never sacked. Tonio Brown had another big game. Leveon Bell churned out some tough yardage against a stout defense.
Kudos to Worilds for winning the Hard Hat Award. Wear the Hard Hat proudly, Jason !
