The home of die hard Pittsburgh Steelers fans. It's not just a team, it's a way of life!

Playoff Bets (divisional round)

January 11, 2012 by Steel Haven

Home teams ruled. I aced the NFC and was shut out in the AFC. The late game Sunday sickened me as you might expect.

I'm going all road teams this week despite last week's results. Live, but don't learn is my motto....

home team in bold

Saturday

New Orleans Saints (-3.5) over San Francisco 49ers

Breesus and the Saints have not been the same team on the road. The 49ers have been dominant at home. I don't care.

Denver Broncos (+13.5) over New England Patriots

Loss of Andre Carter to season ending injury complicates this matchup for the Patriots. Not that I believe the Tebows will be able to win, the line is just too high for me.

Sunday

Houston Texans (+7.5) over Baltimore Ravens

Arian Foster and the Texans defense should be able to keep this one close. Alas I think the Ravens will squeak out a win setting up an AFC Championship game between my two most despised NFL franchises.

New York Giants (+7.5) over Green Bay Packers

I am less certain of this pick than the other three. Pressuring Aaron Rodgers and having the offensive firepower to stay close seems like a credible way to challenge the Packers. The Giants are built in that image and Eli Manning's prowess in the fourth quarter screams back door cover to me.

Last Week

Cincinnati Bengals (+3.0) over Houston Texans LOSS

New Orleans Saints (-10.5) over Detriot Lions WIN

New York Giants (-3.0) over Atlanta Falcons WIN

Pittsburgh Steelers (-8.5) over Denver Broncos LOSS

Playoffs: 2-2
